We've done all the crap on Eddy Street, and Parisi's, and whatever there is in the Morris Inn. We even did the steakhouse at the Four Winds Casino. They are all fine. Anyone have anything better?
We are going up for a non-football weekend, which would give us our best chance at a good meal.
Is that like Jumbo Shrimp? Military Intelligence?
I had brunch there once which can be an absurd exercise in gluttony if you choose. Looked at the steakhouse but decided I'd pass
Certainly one of the best meals I've had in the area, and it seems unexpectedly good in the otherwise Walmart atmosphere of Four Winds. I guess I didn't know there was a Ruth's Chris.
good for SB.
Since you're willing to go as far as New Buffalo apparently... Heston's Supper Club in LaPorte used to be pretty good (off the beaten path).
Artisan in Elkhart is supposed to be good...but I haven't been there.
Now that you mention it, I've heard that recommended before.
We might try one the Elkhart one during a game weekend, since it might be closer to where we are staying. When we go up in a few weeks, we'll be right by campus.

Then again, this is 25 years ago now. Is Rocco's still there? They didn't used to card, if that helps.

and I made a reservation for when I help my kid move in for law school. The other place was LaSalle Grill. Going to do dinner there.
but the local pickings seem real slim there. Never paid much mind to it just going for football.
Been to some decent spots in Indy when we had an insurance client there. Figure it would be about the same.
support a plethora of options I take it..
There are more upscale pubs and breweries of late, so casual dining may have gotten a bit better at least.

cool venue with the history and brunch should still be fine.
