now we get to lecture others, read Brazil, about the same actions. Seems it's just a matter regarding what period of world history you decide to damage the environment and kill people. If we are so upset about the destruction of the rain forests let’s start planting millions of trees throughout the US and stop with the corn and soybeans which are bad for your health.
You entire argument is bullshit.
33% of the entire land mass of the USA is forest, about the same as it was in 1900.

I think you are just irritated that you lost your argument :)
The bottom line is that it’s easy for first world countries having come through the industrial revolution and raising their standard of living with cheap fossil fuels now wanting to limit that benefit to third world countries. So if you don’t want them to repeat, what you deem mistakes of the past, then pay them not to do so. Otherwise STFU.
You are just entitled like so many. Now that you have yours the others shouldn’t repeat the mistakes that created your wealth. Some might call you a hypocrite. I’ll just say you are selfish.
:(
If you are unaware of how many trees we plant and how much of our land is forest, you resort to ad hominem attacks on people who clearly know more than you do.

For every Andrew Jackson there's a Theodore Roosevelt, for every Bufallo Bill Cody there's an Aldo Leopold or a John Muir. You're choosing to focus on the negative. We shouldn't have done those things and neither should future people. But only you can change it. How many trees have you planted? Do you support wildlife conservation funds? Do you support Native American charitable causes? Do you grow a garden? If you see trash, do you pick it up?
Without people like me all those caring compassionate environmentalists wouldn’t be able to fly their private jets to private islands and villas to determine how the rest of us should live our lives. So I’m doing a lot for the environment. Wouldn’t you agree?

Sugar and corn syrup are the causes of all the chronic diseases we see proliferating, especially T2D.
