I am a casual cigar smoker. 4-5 a month.
I find the Davidoffs very good but radically overpriced.
The Nat Sherman Connecticut Universities are not bad for a mild smoke.
The ACID line is fine for a change of pace. Some decent variety. Cold Infusion is a mild Lansdale.
My most common cigar is a Padron 64. Most frequently a Exclusivo Maduro (Robusto). I usually pair it with a dram of Aberlour A'bunadh.
For me, This beats drinking $40 worth of craft beer.
To each his own.
I smoke less than I used to, probably 2-4 sticks / month now. Some of my favorite brands....
CAO - most are very good. I especially like the Brazilia line
Camacho - very full flavored. Not for the meek.
Padron - all of them are great, but the Anniversarie series is sublime (and damn pricey)

My doctor would kill me if he knew I ever smoked anything (which seems to defeat the purpose of his admonition)
Moderation is my key.
If the cigars come out on a special occassion, I'm on board. I just don't seek out cigars myself. Cigars are, to me, a celebratory thing. For a time-out from the daily rat race, I have been known to have an occasional pipe. You can have the same experience as a cigar with a tenth of the tobacco each time. Seems better to me. I still don't do it all that often.
oliva serie iv torpedo (kinda pricey, so usually reserved for special occasions)
alec bradley sun grown connecticutt reserve churchills. this is the staple for every round of golf
otherwise, other olivas are great as are padrons.
enjoy!
