Thank God the Cons don't have to deal with a media outlet with talking heads who are manipulating propaganda mouthpieces for a delusional army and the Trump twitter admin.

The NYT piece on this was less convinced that the extraction was due to Trump.
His general untrustworthiness remains. But this is good.
Is the real truth that you are being willfully manipulate day, and that you are ok with it?
The MSM is lying regularly. They come up with a new Trump horror to replace the old one every week or less. They spin his boorish nature into crises all of the time. When they can’t find something real to spin negatively, then they have no qualms about making things up.
It is the corruption of the Main Stream Media that is the real crisis in our country.

Reminds me of this...although I'm not suggesting that Chris is the the Great Oz, only that his side tells us to ignore their machinations. (Frank will tell me that my analogy totally fails, because Chris doesn't wear a morning coat like that.)

That's how it works.
The major media outlets do not make up stuff out of whole cloth. They just don't. They try to get it right.
Sometimes their preconceived notions get in the way of understanding what is happening; sometimes their sources get it wrong, or mislead; sometimes they make mistakes. But they do not make stuff up, despite what right-wing propaganda says.

But since elaborating would be a pure waste of time, I won't.
And run with it. It’s as bad as high school social media rumors. Just don’t understand why you give them a pass for continually failing on their responsibilities as a news source.
I agree that the rush to be "first," to get the scoop in the 24-hour news cycle, leads to sloppiness and more errors. The pressure to be quick can overwhelm the responsibility to be right.
But these are professionals who do not make stuff up.
