the GOP-controlled ones.
Anyone "shocked" by the behavior of Iowa officials is someone ignorant of the belief system that coats campuses like Iowa these days. I love how they then took aim at Muslim and Sikh groups well, just to be consistent, right? It's only fair: if we're going to abridge First Amendment rights for one group we don't like, we have to do it for all groups, even ones we will be the first to recognize as high on our oppression scale.
One thing a case like this reveals is the utter lack of mature adults on these campuses. Ignorant people, as well. A basic level of Constitutional knowledge would sound off alarm bells on such policies. I would be shocked if these morons could relate much of anything about the Bill of Rights. You'd be hard-pressed to meet less impressive people than your typical college administrators. Most are unimpressive even with their academic pedigree.
Full-disclosure, I feel a slight amount of empathy for the administrators, in this climate they have no good options.

Or does your binary choice allow enablers to sleep better at night?
You say that like I am responsible for it, which is kind of weird. My binary choice is forced upon me.
I sleep just fine at night, knowing that I chose the lesser of two evils.
