Ascribing behaviors and beliefs we don't like to "insanity" or mental disease is dangerous and obscures those rare cases where there really is something on the order of "insanity" or true mental illness. When people keep doing this, it eventually renders those terms meaningless, as we've seen with the term "racism."
How many people does he regularly call insane? He may, I just don't remember.
Extrapolating calling Donald Trump insane to a condition of over-using the accusation is a bit much.
