Check out these polls. It's a punchline, but true for many of these kids: they emerge from universities dumber than when they entered, filled with specious arguments implanted in their heads by empyheaded purveyors of piffle.
Last year, the new Advanced Placement Government curriculum came down. Among the concepts to be taught was "hate speech." I communicated to someone who had a voice to the board that there is no such thing as "hate speech." It's a made-up concept, yet it's placed next to something like "clear and present danger." I wrote that including this in the curriculum only serves to further miseducate young people about the First Amendment, something which they are appallingly ignorant, to begin with. The new textbooks that arrived for the redesign featured "hate speech" discussion, plus a whole lot more discussion of social justice, equipped with all the buzzwords. "Intersectionality" was also included as a concept. Folks used to laugh about how I focused on this stuff all the time and told me how overblown it was. I've noticed over the past year, that some of them don't do that anymore. If you're paying attention at all, you see how it's seeping into everything. And when it comes to your line of work, it's just downright dangerous.
