The future is at stake! Our republic is in jeopardy!
Meh. It's just another election. Things will work out. In the UK, and in the US.

Not all Trump supporters are anti-Semite scumbags, to be sure, but all anti-Semite scumbags are Trump supporters.

As a globalist I’m sure you see it that way. But as usual you don’t understand that a majority of Brits want to decide their own future and not have other European countries tell them what’s in their best interest. See I believe in democracy where citizens decide their future. You might believe you know better and you may be proven right. But it’s their decision and I support that.

Interesting to hear about all the "strategic" voting going on. Press reports of people going to the polls and not voting, or deciding at the last minute.
I just had dinner with a Brit, and it was interesting. He presented a very nuanced view of things, and indicated that people may be voting for parties for which they don't normally vote. He was against Brexit, but he said, "The people have spoken. I lost. The government should follow the will of the people." He did not say how he voted in this election, and I was not impolite enough to ask directly.
this is the similarity I see with Trump. A lot of us are not enamored with his tweets and comments but support his policies. Same with the Brits. They have never considered their nation as part of the continent, in fact in some ways are closer to Canada and the US versus France and Germany. But this is about having Brussels and more importantly Germany dictate policy for Britain.
Churchill was the first proponent of a EU confederation after two World Wars. But it has become more rigid. With the globalists in the U.K., Paris, Brussels and Berlin running the game.
Like America the Brits told the elites we aren’t going there. It may be bad from a global economic standpoint but it’s what the majority wants.
