Chris, I went through your post on the top 50 TV shows and decided to give some a try.

Mad Men, I could not get through more than a few episodes, not sure why but I could not watch it. I am sure it is a great show and well acted just not my cup of tea. Started watching VEEP and it is really funny, not really binge worthy but something to watch to kill some time. I finished Bosch on the recommendation of many here and it held my interest the entire time now I am looking for more shows to fill the void.

Ozark was better than I thought it would be. Did the first season.

The wife and I don't watch a lot of shows, and we regularly lose interest. We may start Ozark back up again.

We stuck with Person of Interest and Blacklist.

I liked Legion, and I've stuck with it through 3 seasons. It is a weird show, and normally the type of show I would not like...and yet it became a favorite.

Ozark had great acting but got increasingly implausible. Have given up.

Eh, second season was just OK. Some parts just too preposterous. Was more speaking to 3rd season...

I'll look into Poldark. Outlander had kept our attention for a season.

Nothing will turn my wife off a show faster than a drawn out torture scene, and Outlander had a doosie at the end of season 1. Then, in the second season, the actors all jumped out of character, doing things they obviously shouldn't have done with little explanation (the newbie still being a newbie even though the first season she went to hell and back; the patriot not being a patriot for seemingly no reason at all), so the show became totally unbelievable very early in season 2.

It seems to feature a guy that fucks everyone. That sounds like a neat thing, but I'm not really sure I want to watch some other guy score all the time.

Everybody (else) seems to love it. So I will try.

Next are Battlestar Galatica and Fargo, if I can find them. And I had never heard of Broad City or Party Down, so I might see if I can find them, too. And kudos to that guy (or list of critics, actually) for the Rockford Files - love that show.

It was different, but I thought they did a pretty good job with the show.

This weekend Star Wars Episode IV was on, and I flipped onto it just during the final battle scene, and it was amazing how Lucas didn't even attempt to make the space battles realistic at all...spaceships acting like planes flying through the air. I suppose that was fine for what, 1977? Babylon 5 tried to make the battles realistic, and wrestle with gravity, etc. It's kind of nice when the shows at least make an effort.
