Bernie gives loud voice to the real Democrat agenda: elitist control of everything the deplorables are incapable of ever understanding. The other Dems never actually admit that this is the ultimate goal. So the light of reality never shines on the consequences. A Bernie nomination would end the charade. My guess is that he would suffer the same fate as his fellow Stalinist, Jeremy Corbin.

....you see, the Dems have gone so far to the Left, that the moderates (which Iowa has a lot of) have left the party. The remaining Dems participating in the process are skewed far to the Left. Thus, Bernie does well with them. But come the general, Trump will take Iowa easily as he did in 2016.
He is a populist, and he has been consistent foe of the rich and hero for the working class.
Do not count him out. Nor Warren (the anti corruption candidate).
Bernie's success (the Dem electorate is skewing Left as a result of the loss of moderates which favors Bernie). Just as you see bernie benefitting from this phenomenon now, you will also see Trump's margin of victory grow quite a bit bigger in the next election.
How Trump did vs Hillary in 2016 is not raised in this thread. Hillary was the perfect foe for Trump, even though she would have been a terrific President.
Not sure the Democrats have the right moderate candidate to beat Trump. [Edit — Bloomberg???]. The energy is w/ Bernie, and even Warren.
It may not make sense that progressive is the way to go. I remain uncertain whether the math favors playing to the middle vs playing to the energy (knowing Democrats would lose some moderates unwilling for a "big change" type candidate).
We will see how it plays out between tomorrow and Super Tuesday.
All polling consistently shows the Democrats united in their desire to pick whichever candidate is the best matchup to beat Trump. The polling also shows a split as to whether to go moderate or progressive in achieving that objective, but that Democrats are less concerned about progressive v moderate than they are about beating Trump.
There is a Dem PAC running ads against Bernie here and John Kerry is talking about getting in if it's Bernie.
They are very probably correct.
Kerry will not enter race.

Good plan...
who described himself as VERY pro choice. His position like Joe’s is purely political.
I get you holding out hope for a Democrat but there isn't a single one running that is worth a shit. You're smart enough to realize that.
Not a fan of any of the D’s. But, as my R friends pointed out in 2016 before they went insane, it’s a lesser of two evils choice. Will vote for Amy, Pete, or Joe. Will vote third party if it’s Sanders. Warren, not sure yet if I go third party. Also would vote for Bloomberg.
Yang will get my vote.
She may have been worse or better but not the point now.
An old Commie, a full of shit frumpy school teacher, a midget who wants unlimited illegal immigrants and some twerp with no accomplishments who practices sodomy. Great choices Francis. You truly are a fucking moron.

won't deliver on any promises (typical politician outside of Trump) but it could get them into the seat. Having a Dem in the WH will make the base happy. I don't see it happening though.

What is sad about the whole situation is Bernie knows it. He actually said recently to his supporters that "if I don't get the nomination, we need to make to support who does". In other words, they are going to screw me, make sure you vote for whoever the Democrat nominee is going to be. I'm very curious to see if Milwaukee is "going to burn" like his staff has said.
