I have a 15 year old stepdaughter who listens to rap in my car. This stuff would make the Stones blush with embarrassment. I know it does me. A lot of it seems like hateful, misogynistic porn... but maybe I just haven't delved into the underlying message in this art form. I mean... it's no worse than anything Henry Miller wrote. But I digress. My point is that Trump's growing appeal to the black community might derive from the subliminal messages he communicates through his tweets... which if lumped together might make a rap hit.

today’s Rap bares little art if any. As for a type of porn - sure why not? The way a sugar fix is for a sweet tooth. But as far as Trump behavior is, it’s the reality TV value that keeps his audiences attention. The problem is, his behavior I’ll effects us all personally, economically and psychologically whether we follow his tweets or not. is it porn? Maybe once past the reality show of it all, it’s just survival not porn.

He doesn't do drugs, doesn't cuss, raps about his faith in God, his OCD, his personal life issues. To Jim's point about art, art is all about eliciting an emotional response. NF does that x10. He's a lot like Eminem only without the hate and is way more inwardly focused than outwardly lashing out.
The video to The Search is a masterpiece btw.

and interpretation has the potential of accessing and discharging the conflicts and anxieties. Otherwise we just repeat the associated negative behaviors. NF seems like he is craving for a dynamic analysis of his lyrics. Donald Trump, however, seems rigidly incapable of self reflection.
For starters, explain the connection between dreams and art and how they hide the latent content within.
In my view art, among other things, is an outlet, not unlike therapy.
I do not get the sense that NF is seeking any outside validation at all.
