Good thing we cut CDC funding and put hacks in charge. Competent governance is so deep-state.
BTW - the biggest threat the virus poses is overreaction and economic catastrophe. Outside of China, the mortality rate - so far - is less than 1%. It’s bad news for sick people in their late 80s, AIDS patients and the pulmonarily compromised, if that’s a word.
A worldwide recession/trade disruption would indirectly kill more.

I doubt many of his supporters even believed a word out of his mouth.
Our girls (all teenagers) asked if we could go back to Disney this year. I guess they are feeling nostalgic. I’m fine with going back to the parks, but thought I’d suggest one of the cruises as an alternative.
Lots more for grown-ups to do. Hyper-efficient and organized...and they make the kids feel like royalty.
Plus you get to go to the Caymans.

I used it as threat after that...
They are more like the Democratic party than anything. Lots of whining goes on at the parks. Never forget my trip in there on Gay Day one year. Looking back, they were probably all Bernie supporters.
Only had the kids there twice.
Done my duty.
Ain’t never goin back.
So Trump is doing a harm by Ignoring Deep State statements in spreading panic but better not panic because it would cause more deaths than the virus’s. Ok glad you cleared that up.
Trump tried to get a hold of him to find how he should handle this situation but couldn't. Now we all have to suffer because Chris was on vacation.

He’s a moron but his instinct was correct there.

as I assume we have experts at WHO et al such as Fauci who know what they're doing.
Besides, it's all over the world at this point.

It might actually be enough torture to break Chris and add him to the Children of Big Citrus.

Agree on the actual threat and the overreaction.
I thought Trump gave a great answer to the CDC cuts in his presser (by the way, the CDC is a very big organization, and cuts in one area can be completely unrelated to this issue).
Trump said, “I’m a business man. We have hired those people back already along with more. But I don’t see the point of paying them when we are not using them and don’t need them”.
I agree with this. The functionality of research labs do require the main researchers and assistants, but there are many who are not needed until the volume of work is there for them.
PS - I was in the Bahamas from Feb 8-15. - were you nearby?
