I bought a bunch from JosABank back in the day. Decent prices and look...but they are a bit short for an average sized human being (guess they were saving a little fabric costs on each tie...or they are sized for Asian men).
More recently (by which I mean over 10 years ago), I bought a couple ties in Hong Kong...spent a little more...got some better looking ties...not sure of the brand, but much nicer than JosABank ties...kind of woke me up to better ties.
I probably will step up my next purchase a bit. I'm older now, and a nicer tie is warranted. And, I don't wear them all that often, so I don't need a bunch of them...just one or two that look good. But, I won't spend too much on a tie, because IMO 99.9% of people don't give a damn what brand you wear, and JosABank and their competitors imitate nice ties well enough that no one notices.

I've got both and wear them according to what matches best. I don't over-process silk squares. I'm closer to Sprezzatura.

Squares are often made of silk and can be very colorful.

I have the standard Brooks Brother "prep" options and some that are a bit more unique, vineyard vines etc.
I used to pick up a tie when I traveled internationally and was always looking for something different and fun. I did like having one's that were unique enough that I could not wear them often... and perhaps it makes me a peacock, but I liked a tie compliment. and now they hang in my closet unappreciated.. haha
Another reason that I want to get "traveling" again!

My job doesn't need one. My industry is heavy jean and work boots. I think people in ties scare the shit out of most. Ties usually mean regulators. They are never good.

That is a killer tie.

I am partial to Canali and Zegna. I have some Burberry and a few Brioni.
Thank God I have a great dry cleaner.

A great suit is a lot more comfortable than most casual clothes.
Cheap suits are the worst.

Also 2 or 3 sport coats for causal, Burberry raincoat (love that thing) and a wool overcoat.
Should get a summer suit, but that’s it on the sartorial front.
