1) Testing is not over the counter, it is only through a provider
a) reliable and correct performance of the test
b) avoid window phase false positives
c) avoid selfish burning of resources which would drive up costs for all (ex. people testing themselves daily)
2) Our country has refused under even the most dire circumstances to institute tort reform - we would rather face health care crisis and shortages rather than give up the right to sue.
-companies that make the test have to make triple sure that the test has been put through all of the testing paces so that they are not sued out of existence by the next person who dies from the virus and claims
a negative test (or vice versa).
This was the case before Obamacare. This was the case after Obamacare. #1 is a choice (a smart one imo), but #2 is a very big problem (not just in healthcare either), and I have been saying to deaf ears for 40 years.
