he was hobnobbing with all those Russians before running for President? Heck, I got investigated for months twice before getting "Q" clearances (way before QAnon ;-))
and had business dealings outside of the United States. Now the big guy, he’s been a politician his whole life.
office that gives him the title of "Commander-in-Chief" of all U.S. forces, and all of our most secret activities? If the FBI can spend months of its precious time on me for a couple of "Q" clearances, don't you think it would have/should have crossed their mind to look into DJT's background when he announced he was running for office? While we don't yet have the laws in place that I personally think we should in order to protect ourselves from 'rogue' candidates like Trump, it is wholly appropriate for the FBI to turn it's eye toward him when known and trusted sources...like Steele...nudge them.
btw, check out my reply to 'Cheeks', below...and note the incredible list of reasons why DJT would have been rejected for even the lowest level jobs requiring a Top Secret Clearance.
Again, I say...Donald Trump was not screened anywhere near enough...kudos for Steele doing some of the 'heavy lifting'.
Everything in that dossier is complete garbage. There is literally nobody who believes a word of it now.
Intrigued that you think the FBI has a role in vetting candidates for public office. You lefties get closer to Stalin every day. It is remarkable.
"The dossier holds up well over time, and none of it, to our knowledge, has been disproven."
It goes on to explain what the Steele Dossier really is...
"The dossier is actually a series of reports—16 in all—that total 35 pages. Written in 2016, the dossier is a collection of raw intelligence. Steele neither evaluated nor synthesized the intelligence. He neither made nor rendered bottom-line judgments. The dossier is, quite simply and by design, raw reporting, not a finished intelligence product.
In that sense, the dossier is similar to an FBI 302 form or a DEA 6 form. Both of those forms are used by special agents of the FBI and DEA, respectively, to record what they are told by witnesses during investigations. The substance of these memoranda can be true or false, but the recording of information is (or should be) accurate. In that sense, notes taken by a special agent have much in common with the notes that a journalist might take while covering a story—the substance of those notes could be true or false, depending on what the source tells the journalist, but the transcription should be accurate. "
If you are a Trump supporter, or 'Anti-Dem'...you are understandably sensitive about anyone finding links between your candidate and Russia...but as I've shown with numerous overviews, apart from the SD...the connection is easily made...not good to have a Russia sympathizer as our President...in fact that's cause for the highest level alarm...don't you think?

what the Steele Dossier represents?...i.e. not a detailed final report, but rather something akin to what our own FBI would use (i.e. a '302 Form)...special agents record what they are being told by witnesses during an investigation...the substance of the memoranda can be true or false, but the recording of information is (or should be) accurate. In that sense, notes taken by a special agent have much in common with the notes that a journalist might take while covering a story...again, it's not a fully assessed and vetted product.
If you care at all about this subject, you'd do yourself a favor by reading the link I provided...then if you'd like, we can talk some more about Trump and Russia.

The whole edifice has collapsed, but Ty, the good apparatchik, soldiers on. It would be funny if it weren’t so sad.

the way he rolls, deflect and redirect. Its his MO
Steele and the FBI were looking in the right direction...Trump was, and is, dirty with Russian influence...the sooner you and others accept the facts, the sooner we can get our country back together.

It took a while to load, probably in an archived database.
BTW, the FISA warrant on Page is the one that got the FBI lawyer to plead guilty to fraudulent filings.

Any curiosity into who the big guy is?
Donald Trump...here are the Top 10 Reasons Why People Are Denied a Security Clearance...(see link)
1) Financial Considerations...DJT went bankrupt at least 6 times...his son, Eric, said the Trump Co. was getting all it's funding needs met by Russia...his primary bank, Deutsche Bank, was fined hundreds of millions of dollars for money-laundering Russian funds to mobsters...there's more...lots more on this front.
2) Personal Conduct...3,500, plus, lawsuits in federal and state courts for such things as non-payment to lawyers, contractors and real-estate brokers...claims of hush-money to porn stars for services rendered...etc, etc, etc.......................
3) Drug Involvement...no evidence against DJT, but "people are saying" that he's into ' Adderall'...
4) Foreign Influence...need I say more?...decades of involvement with Russians, both here (Felix Sater) and over there (too many to count)
5) Criminal Conduct...Fraudulent business practices...e.g. Trump University...bogus Charitable Fund...and LOTS more to come...
6) Alcohol Consumption...no issues
7) Foreign Preference...see "Helsinki" video of DJT siding with Putin over our own Intelligence Community
8) Handling Protected Information...nothing before becoming President...but WHOA what a screw up afterward...
9) Use of IT Systems...just gross mis-use of Twitter...banned for life.
10) Sexual Behavior..."Grab 'em by the P____"...hush money for Porn Stars...accusations of rape against him...
btw, the article states that there are three other categories not listed, including one for "Psychological Conditions"...DJT's "Malignant Narcissism" was evident to over 1,000 psychologists before he ran for President...they signed a letter attesting to that finding...that would definitely hold back a Security Clearance from any applicant for a government job.
Any one of these categories would likely keep him from even working on a highly sensitive project...imagine checking all but one box to the max and then being IN CHARGE of all those projects!?...ARE YOU KIDDING ME?
At least five of these gross failures were known before he became President...he absolutely SHOULD have been investigated six-ways-from-Sunday by the FBI and all other agencies. IMO this country needs new rules for who can be a candidate for President of the USA...
This whole "Hillary" thing is a smoke screen...she has already been investigated by GOP Attorney General, with no charges being filed...anything to deflect from DJT's failings...and mis-placed loyalty.

concerned about Biden's loyalty to the U.S....as opposed to that other guy. What in your mind is so egregious about Biden's behavior that it overshadows what I've presented of DJT?
to the Big Guy. One of their partners, Tony Bobolinski, said the Big Guy is Joe Biden. Joe said he had nothing to do with Hunter’s business dealings but photos of him with Hunter’s associates and emails show different. Take off your liberal goggles for a minute. If this was Don Jr you would be beside yourself.
Why wasn't he investigated more?!?! We need a special prosecutor! We need an impeachment! Or two!
It would be hilarious that you can't move on if it wasn't so sad.
And I hate that I have to keep saying this, but I am not a fan of Trump at all. But the ridiculousness of the obsession and hypocrisy of you and your ilk is too much to stomach.
rational perspective to all those who are getting 'lathered up' over whatever Durham thinks he's doing...based on all that I presented, which was public knowledge BEFORE the election, the FBI should have been opening more investigations of DJT than you could throw a stick at...never mind the Steele Dossier.

Crystal and Saagar noted...and DJT's denial of any connection with Russia and that no one should be investigating such suspicions...I am presenting material and comments that counter his claim...which is the salient issue here.
"Did Trump have any connections with Russia that would compromise his ability to be President of the United States"?...that's the question and the issue...I'm saying that there was enough evidence in the public domain for anyone, including a political opponent...let alone the FBI...to investigate that potentiality....and with the passage of time, most of us are firmly convinced of the justification.
btw, we already have official statements from our own GOP-led Senate Intelligence Committee that Russia expended great effort to influence Trump's election...that alone should send shivers up any true American patriot's spine...wouldn't you agree?

no answers...this thread is about "Russiagate"...not "Huntergate"...or "Bidengate"...
Trump is, and always has been deeply involved with Russia...isn't that so?...can you deny it?
How many times have you tried to deflect and redirect to DJT in this sub thread?
i.e. Donald Trump was and is in deep with the Russians and that any discussion of "Russiagate" needs to address his many, many connections with them, and not just limit any discussion to an irrelevant side-bar like Durham's investigation.
The involvement of Putin's Russia with Donald Trump has already been established...and it continues to be a threat to this country...how we came to know of it is interesting, but not critical.
What say you?

Hunter and the big guy”.
Russia connections?...where's the disconnect?
Did I strike a nerve there, Musky?...a little too much 'exposure' for DJT, perhaps?
