Not that it is a surprise. Seems like some improvement in procedures would be wise. Must be a big problem with Influenza as well.
May prove to be true but we haven’t “learned” that at the moment.
They are some of saddest places you ever want to experience. I found the staff to by under qualified and the management ever worse. They are dirty and overcrowded. I am not surprised that diseases spread in them rapidly. I can't imagine what they would be like now the families cannot visit and check up on their loved ones.
What we’ve learned is that nursing homes contain lots of people who develop serious versions of the disease.

close proximity/physical contact accounts for the vast majority of infections.
