When do we return to "normal," in terms of getting to go about our everyday lives again?
Is it when the number of active cases are on the downside of Farr's Law bell curve? When the number of new cases are very low? When there have been no active cases for 14 days?
If it's the latter, this could possibly turn into months.
The more extreme efforts we take, the sooner our curve flattens to the point where our capacity to treat the seriously ill is manageable.
