Yesterday, for the first time in forever, the number of new cases in the US decreased. For the 2nd day in a row, the number of US deaths decreased.
Time will tell if this is the start of a trend or an anomaly.

My sense is that social distancing and "playing defense" started earlier for most folks beginning first week of March.
I flew to Florida on March 4th and returned March 8th. Noticed that most everyone was careful during flights, and during my long weekend in Florida.
The nation cannot be extreme enough on this. The White House, state and local officials have to preach, preach, preach that every American has a duty to help by staying away from each other.
Most of the country does not have scary numbers right now. All the more reason to shut down everywhere while ahead of the curve in those places. In two weeks, those communities will know who is infected. They can then quickly return to normal.
It is not a "one size fits all" strategy. But, no need to aggravate the situation in places that are in good shape right now.
Shut it down everywhere. We all bite the bullet.
Then, open up the economy (in stages) in those communities that are NOT reporting new cases.
