Nothing is worse than when conservatives play these same games.

Just taking the strategy of the Left out for a test drive.
It bear repeating: if Baron were actually looking for a darkhorse, rising star as a running mate, one state up, you have a governor with one of the highest approval ratings, with a entrepreneurial background, who got a lot of votes from Democrats, who is embedded in the "new economy."
Instead, Baron is interested in finding the next Sarah Palin. He won't admit that, but it's driven entirely by chromosomes. Polling shows little support for this sort of identity politics, even among Democrats.
What is the primary reason you tout her? Because she is a woman, with the added bonus of being an attractive woman. Has she done anything particularly noteworthy as governor? No. Is she a particularly strong orator? No. Was her congressional career notable in any way? No.
BTW, she barely won election a couple years ago in an overwhelmingly red state.
The governor one state above has a much more compelling background and basis to sell what your party used to sell prior to Trump.
is not good in long term. I also think because SD is too small, unless her performance as governor is exceptional, it's hard for her to make her brand on national stage. She needs to work in Trump admin if she has ambition to leader of next level.
because they loved how she handled the COVID crisis so much? She is a strong conservative, she has strong leadership skills, she has great common sense, she is genuine, and she is polished.
MAS is just throwing up his assumptions which he often does - kind of like he did on a football board hwere he claimed that Clemson has a better gameday experience than Notre Dame.
The only thing I know about Clemson's stadium is that stupid rock.
You've chosen this forgettable politician because the politician's chromosomal makeup. You could pick someone like Larry Hogan. You could pick Greg Abbott. You could pick ex-governor Nikki Haley. Instead, you search out your next Sarah Palin.
At least Eli is honest about the strategy, here.
I’m sure that comment got you in good with that crowd.
I recall lampooning the stadium atmosphere at ND and contrasting it with a litany of other stadiums. I guess I may have mentioned Clemson, but I don't recall it.

I believe I had this handle first. There is also a BAS over there.
I don't know the first thing about Clemson, other than the fact that James Dickey graduated from there.

If Trump thinks he will have a better shot with a female on the ticket, he will do so.
Once Trump starts actually running against Biden, things my change. We shall see, though. If no large gatherings are allowed, that will be to Biden's advantage. God help us...4 years of dementia.
but trump can't.
He will have to start engaging over the next month, even if in the same manner that many Americans remotely engage each other daily via work, school, etc.
Voters need to know that Biden is ready and willing to command, and represents the better and safer option going forward for the American people.
If voters have that confidence, Biden will win.
If voters lack that confidence, then it will be a jump ball in November ... as the disdain for Trump is still paramount.

Name recognition alone, tragically, plays such a huge role in who a large part of the electorate will vote for in Novembers.
It's giving us just spectacular choices of late..
It’s what happens in crises: leaders become more popular. If they are even minimally competent.
Trump? Not so much.
You know, like Whittmer, Northam and Mills. I don't see them as being popular right now.
their polls. He also had Hillary up by a wide margin in 2016....again something the Dems wanted to hear. The Detroit Regional Chamber is strongly partisan to the Left as well.
You have to know Michigan politics to know this.
Your poll is wrong. It's telling liberals what they want to hear, and saying what needs to be said for Gretchyn to et the VP nomination.
Whitmer is loathed by conservatives, and disliked by independents with that dislike growing stronger with each passing day.
package her for the VP slot.
No thanks. Don't particularly want her running the country when Joe's bulb grows too dim to collect moths...
I have never talked to anyone in my life that has ever been part of one of these political polls.

your msm is trying to portray these protestors as gun toting militia people - they search out those pictures and ignore all of the normal people who protest from their car from all over the state even with the rest areas closed.
Whitmer has opened the eyes of lots of independents.
Polls are used more for political advantage these days than for accuracy.
I have the opportunity, through my job, to talk to people from across the US. This lock down is always a hot topic and I get a wide range of opinions on it. You can study all the polls you want, how did that do for you in '16?
They aren't perfect, but probably more accurate than talking to a few people in each state that agrees with your politics.
I wouldn't be surprised that they got NY, CA, TX, etc. right as to outcome, but if (just for example) they were consistently over-estimating Dem turnout by, say, 3%, that would be a more interesting data point. I know I never answer phone polls, and nearly every person who votes like me has said the same. I sometimes wonder how Trump does as well as he does in the polls, given that I don't know a single person who answers polls in his favor.
politics. It doesn't work that way. But again, if it makes you feel better, go with that.
...so he gets a pass.
actions prove it.
