We have come a long way from Donna Rice sitting on Gary Hart’s lap. We all remember those innocent days. Hart abruptly dropped out. Now with Trump as President the bar has been lowered. But now here comes creepy Joe. And the defense seems to be he’s not as bad as Trump.
And it’s the numbers right? So what is that number?

brought ya along too fast💰
If Trump was not currently president, Biden would be forced by Dem insiders to drop out. There is zero chance the Dems would run him against Kasich or Jeb Bush.
But since Trump is his competition (and has an even worse track record), Biden will get a pass.
This is the problem with the "I support Trump's policies, but not who he is as a person" argument. The result is the standards of who gets to hold our nation's highest office have forever been downgraded.
I personally think Joe should drop out. That said, I'll probably end up voting for him in November only b/c he's not as bad as Trump.

That was obviously well before the me too era and at the time most people assumed Clinton had a history of infidelity, but didn't believe the rape claims. Juanita Brodderick is credible in 2020, but wasn't viewed that way in 1992 or 1996 (especially since she said under oath it didn't happen). At the time most Clinton voters (and I'll even say most Dole voter) viewed Bill as guilty of infidelity, but not guilty of rape/assault.
But, Bill's history with women was the main reason I though HRC was such a bad candidate in 2016. She was the only Dem that couldn't exploit Trump's biggest weakness since she herself had a history of discrediting Bill's accusers.
The difference with Trump is most of his voters absolutely know the claims against him are true and voted for him anyway. I think that is the first time that has happened.

Free tuition, student debt forgiveness, Medicare for all, open borders, liberal activists judges? You get what you vote for.
So all the conservative policies I support.
I assume you voted for Trump b/c you like his policies. My point is the flip side of that vote forever disqualifies decency and integrity from being factors for who should hold the office. B/c of your Trump vote the Dems are now cleared to run Biden despite his history of misconduct with women. That issue simply no longer matters. As you mention this election will now solely be on the issues/policies.
There was a time (Gary Hart in 1984 for example) when being an upstanding human was also a requirement. That time is gone. Trump winning proves that. Both sides will also be free to run sexual predators in 2024. The office has been forever stained.
were they ever? FDR, JFK, Clinton, and even George Bush Sr, according to Barbara Bush. Is this the moral leaders we voted for? And I know Jeb Bush, suffice it to say he’s no Trump or an angel.
But what is worse? A Jimmy Carter in the WH that destroyed our economy and embarrassed the US with the hostage crisis? Or do we wish better for the common good.
So you can vote for the democrat because you detest Trump for his morality but with a binary choice how could you except the liberal policies that will harm our country, yourself and your children.
So sorry for me policy over the man. Think of it as remaining Catholic even though many of our Bishops and Priests are morally corrupt.
I'm not telling you how to vote. I'm just saying if you want to Keep Trump, there is no point in complaining about or bringing attention to Joe's accusations. They simply don't matter when the alternative is Trump. If you want to attack Biden, do so on his policies.
yes you are correct. I vote for the greater good. I realized a long time ago that since I lived in DC for 10 years they are all the same. Almost all are morally corrupt on both sides. So I choose to support policies in my view that are good for America.
Bill was likely a rapist that would not get a pass in the Metoo era.
I think Biden is only getting a pass due to Trump being his opponent. Maybe I'm being naive, but I really think the Dems would force Biden to drop out if he was running against Kasich. But since Trump can't use it against him, he'll stay in.
Also, Trump won. That means he got a pass also. From you.
haunt us both should he give into the liberal agenda. But we will see won’t we.
BTW...appreciate the honest debate without it spiraling into petty insults. It used to be common to have good discussions on this board, but no so much anymore.

You are voting for Biden and we are voting for Trump, yet we are in a “cult”. We all get what these politicians are like and still will vote for them.
We are all no different when it comes to who we support.
Do know that Orange did repeatedly. End of story.
Most such assaulters are serial in nature.
With Biden, there is one allegation of assault that may or may not be true, and I doubt we will conclusively know by Election Day.
If Biden were running against someone with a sterling reputation, this would be an issue. The bottom line though is that by any objective comparison, Orange is far worse on this and the personal behavior issue in general. So even if I end up believing Reade, it won’t change my vote given the alternative. I didn’t choose Biden and wish there was a better, conservative option. There isn’t. And, he will beat Orange which this country greatly needs.
