Maybe that makes him the greatest ever. Maybe his ability to will himself to win, to pay his best in big situations, makes him the greatest ever. Can't argue that.
But for sheer dominance of a game - especially after this year, when he was leading the league in assists by a long shot - it is hard to pick against LeBron.

And exceptional role players...including the greatest role player of all time.

LeBron has had a lot more talent around him.

Of course 4% of the people in this poll picked Larry Bird, so we know it has at least a 4% margin for error.

Still went 2-2 in those finals. I think that is a legit knock on LBJ. His Cleveland teams were always overmatched, it's a testament to James' greatness that he still brought Cleveland a title, but he should have won 4 titles in Miami.
Also, the link's argument is pretty weak. The reason the mid-range shot is not employed anymore is b/c no one can do it as efficiently as Jordan could. He was so good at it, that for him, it was a good shot. The problem is for all other players (other than maybe Larry Bird or Kevin Durant), it's not a good shot.
It's like saying Kareem would suck today b/c no one shoots the sky hook anymore.
Also, I think Jordan would have learned to shoot 3s just fine if he played today. That's an era vs era argument. The correct argument is dominance vs competition faced at the time, and Jordan was simply more dominant in his era than LeBron is in his.
Who was the best player? Jordan
Who had the best career? When it is over, likely Lebron
LeBron may have more physical talents and be able to play more positions, a la Magic,...but he ain't the GOAT.
