They have to now do it to everyone or it loses the effect for anyone. If Trump is the only one they call out for lies or "inciting violence"... then it shows they are just another biased news source.
Pandemic. 100k+ dead Americans. Unrest over police brutality.
And yet the conversation is about Trump's twitter antics.
It is exactly why Trump is being so combative with Twitter -- distract, distract, distract.
And the media keeps feeding the monster.
winger and started slapping tags on lefty leaders. Every politician fabricates 90% of their communications to an extent to make themselves look better or sell their stance. This is just all stupid.
(Lord knows where that number came from) only the politicians you vote for and elect lie.
I assume your % come from you lying all the time so it’s something you can equate.
Other posters gaslight when they post bullshit.
Where have all the great uhnd posters gone?

That’s just pathetic.

If they start censoring the content that is protected by the 1st amendment they become publishers and hence lose that defense. I see this is the issue.

if there is a second wave. By analyzing their data, they found their R0 already dropped close to 1 (1.1) when they started lockdown on March 12. Like Finland coronavirus really didn't seriously set off in Norway from very beginning.

The less normal a political leader's speech is, the more the people need to hear it.
Bad speech is always countered best with good speech, not censorship.
Democrats used to believe this. They have lost their way.

For the good of the country.
You can't really censor an American President. He can call a press conference or an address to the nation anytime he wants.
If he had any sense he would have stopped the Twitter BS long ago, but instead he is doubling down. It's an embarrassment.
Several news agencies do boycott his press conferences.
They have a right to cancel his account. I just don't think they should do it.
I subscribe to the Ted Nugent School of Free Speech: "We need free speech...so we know who all the assholes are."
inciting rhetoric. The censoring isn’t that posts are taken down, they’re just being tagged.
Yes it’s censorship but it’s the labeling or Warning identification of content like a disinfectant would be if you ingested it or if you rammed a UV Lamp up your anal passage.
First, incitement to violence is not political speech. Hell, you've got CNN calling arson "just a political protest" (in other words, protected speech), but you think a tweet that calls for the authorities to do their job and protect citizens from rioters...that needs to be stopped because it calls for violence. You live in a strange world, where words mean the opposite of their normal meaning. Actual violence is speech, and actual speech is violence, in your world.
I suppose that demonstrates what a problematic issue this is. Maybe it is hard to decide what is a special case and what isn't. In that case, we should err on the side of allowing speech.
And no, his tweets incite civil unrest by giving false information and threats.
You’re not that dumb - well maybe you are.
Anyway, you can’t two step around his tweets.

It’s not state action.
And, I think the populace should be wary of electing anyone to office who thinks it is better for society not to hear political speech of major political figures.
The Dems even promote violence with their speech, but I don't call to silence them. I support countering their speech with more speech.
But, that is where we are going. It is inevitable. You will support people like that because "Trump is a special case," but in the long run, I think society will regret the trend towards acceptability of silencing your opponent rather than debating with them. Special cases make for bad long term precedents.

“When the looting starts, the shooting starts”.
And now it is tagged As an inappropriate tweet. I do not believe his tweets have been taken down.

The shame in this is that his own admin and party refuse to stand in front of him to moderate his behavior.

because they promoted what you don’t like - you for political purposes yet you don’t want political speech interfered with when it suits your continued agenda.
Funny how that censoring works.
Should you be silenced because you rarely make a truthful statement? No, I don't think you should. People see what you are, and it is better that way.

Is there a new aged Twitter Censor Rule Book you are following? If so, can I get a copy?
others do.
I have yet to read your posts which call for those named, for what they’ve tweeted. And again, you and your confabulare post false information here at a record pace. Trump would be proud.

Seeing I check all my info first it’s not likely I’ll post something false.
By accident maybe, but that’s a long shot.
You on the other hand have no qualms post wrong, false, knowingly false and misleading information daily. Better yet, you defend these posts bitterly even when given the correct info.
But do go on.

They've overplayed their hand at Twitter. They censored Trump this morning, but have done nothing with Antifa accounts promoting the violence, the muslim brotherhood, or Kaepernick cheering on the destruction.
They're going to miss 230 at Twitter.
They can fact check or delete anyone or no one that they want.
