both knees are wrong. We are an imperfect nation and Kap has the right to his point of view. To me at least, the National Anthem represents the fact that unlike places such as China and Russia where police just kill people with no consequences, sometimes as part of state policy, we are not a police state, the perpetrators will face justice, and there will be debate and hopefully some additional reform to stop this from happening. His protest during that anthem isn't appropriate in my view, although again I defend his right to do it.

I was critical of Kap's decision as a "bad business" decision as fans are there to watch a football game, not contemplate policing issues.
Kap decided that taking a knee during the national anthem was the best forum to skyline his beef with racial injustice. I never had questioned his patriotism. He was not "wrong" in doing so. It was just not the time and place I would have advised him to present his beef.
The article is spot on. The NFL stuck a knee on his throat and blackballed him.

You think the NFL is racist? That's kind of insane.
It was more than a business decision.
The owners endorsed the position that Kap crossed a moral line by taking a knee during the national anthem. At the time, many posters here took the same position.
The owners abandoned Kap. They didn’t need to endorse his actions. But, they didn’t respect his stance.
If being unpatriotic did not affect the bottom line (the business), they would not have blackballed him. It was all business.
decision to do it during the anthem. Wrong time, place, and message in my view.
And one can certainly be disgusted by what happened to Floyd, while holding that view.
If you are outraged by the cops cruelty towards Floyd, then you have to support Kay’s right to protest.
that is at issue. I believe was his point. I could be wrong.

Not that anyone is getting arrested for the rioting and looting but if they do, Kap has their back. Along with Steve Carell and Seth Rogan. These people will bail out anyone that is arrested. But Kap may change his mind now that they are blaming this on “white supremacists”.
