......It was a tweet by a msm reporter to try to put a damper on the good news. The Left knows that the WHO has been carrying their cause, so liberals believe them.
The news that asymptomatic corona + patients don’t spread the disease easily means that the homemade masks really are the placebos that I and others have been telling them they are, and more importantly that life can get back to normal.
But the masks are needed to perpetuate the fear. And the msm has countered every single piece of good news with a fearful negative story within a day since the outbreak began.
So, out comes a tweet from a reporter within 12 hours of the good news.. It says,
“I talked to four scientists (anonymous of course - and that is curious because there would be no reason not to name them) AND the WH (weird because he normally mocks the WH expertise on everything), and I believe that this was AN IRRESPONSIBLE STATEMENT BASED ON LEGITIMATE OBSERVATIONS”
Anonymous sources from a non expert media reporter who admits that the WHO observations are legitimate - meaning that the good news is legitimate. But the MSM calls it a “damper story”, and the entire Left leaning population takes it as gospel truth. No critical thinking at all. Just a zombie like response. Every liberal in the country has now been reprogrammed to disregard the information from the WHO DESPITE IT BEING LEGITIMATE.
I truly wonder if the libs now have a suggestibility like you see with hypnotists.
It is beyond mind numb ugly stupid, yet they follow along every time. Every single time.

though I didn’t know that until now either. It would have been even more helpful had the msm identified his prior role. The headline could have read have read:
ex Obama administrator tweets that he doesn’t agree with good news from WHO.
I am sure he is connected enough to make a call or two and have that young scientist brought into line.
This makes more sense now.
She is trying to save her job.
I tend to believe the statement made when not under pressure, but at least she didn’t rule out that she was correct. She was clear on what she has been seeing in her first statement.
I’d say there is a lot of,pressure on that young person.

Regardless, pretty clear the WHO has zero credibility.
As Chris pointed out, he isn’t a reporter, he is a powerful ex Obama Healthcare administrator (MBA not a scientist). I would guess that he (or his boss who has been pulling strings behind the scenes) didn’t like what he heard because it would facilitate going back to normal, and thus he made a few calls to people he knows well or even helped get appointed, and had them lower the boom on the overly honest epidemiologist who didn’t understand that this is about politics, and that she should get with the playbook). BO et al were very tight with the WHO.
You’re right though. At very best the WHO doesn’t know what it’s doing with different messages from day to day.
Politics and pandemics doesn't seem like a great combination.
tomatic WHO comments.
The epidemiologist said that her observations are that asymptomatic people rarely spread the contagion.
On follow up a short while later, the WHO came out with a comment .....”but presymptomatic people are contagious”. This was a cover that would allow them to continue strict lockdown protocols since some asymptomatic people are presymptomatic, but in reality it is merely obfuscation - the epidemiologist was quite clear, and the subsequent word games were political.
