Funny how the article calls the lack of running water a "water shortage."
Makes it sound like it has more to do with a drought, and has nothing to do with the fact that the socialist government facilities are so rundown that they are no longer providing running water to huge segments of the population.

This country is fucked, and there is nothing we can do about it.
The only thing we can do, is to vote for the type of non-Republic we want. I don't want science denying people running my country, forcing me to bow down to their forced language requirements or lose my job, so, I'll just have to vote for Trump. At least he doesn't give a damn about what I do in my own private life, unlike the Left.

I would hope we are better off than Venezuela in every way. That's setting the bar pretty low though. Why not aspire to be like the Western (socialist) Democracies of the EU?

The U.S. is doing many more tests than any country. Of course we will have more absolute number of positive case. All EU countries dropped their daily covid-19 testing from their highest daily testing numbers. Now only U.S. keep increasing testing. See the linked graph of Daily Covid-19 tests per thousand people. Let's take June 21 for example. On this day, U.S. did 1.54 tests per thousand people, Canada 1.02, UK 0.92, Italy 0.86, Germany 0.64, Finland 0.29, South Korea 0.21.
