Or can their moderates look at the pols and say fuck you to the Progressives?
objectives (see 2020 election platform)...the differences have to do with tactics to achieve those ends...and as the BBB Bill creation showed, they are willing to negotiate among themselves...and with others, as well...to craft a solution. During the 2020 primaries there were sharp differences on HOW to provide "Universal Health Care" to Americans...Bernie wanted a 'Single Payer' system, while Biden was more moderate (i.e. improve the ACA)...Biden won handily...and so did ALL the Democrats in 2020, by a 7 Million vote margin...The Dems know how to move the ball forward.
This is decidedly not the case with today's GOP...NO party platform...at all...for 2020...and clearly NO negotiations within the party are allowed...witness their desire to ban Liz Chaney and Adam Kinzinger...and after winning the Electoral College in 2016...NOT the popular vote...the GOP couldn't muster the will to pass even an Infrastructure Bill, much less anything else that would benefit EVERY American.
Why is this so hard for you to understand?

some are in safe districts for their party...it will be interesting to see what happens in the GOP primaries with pro-Trump vs. anti-Trump candidates, and the eventual winners' chances against Dems...mostly in the House races...for the Dems retiring, most of the CA and NY seats won't be a problem...nonetheless, the Dems need to be very active...I suspect they will be.
As for the Senate, PA, OH and NC could be real challenges for the GOP...don't know much about Leahy in Vermont, but would be surprised at loss there for the Dems.

Are these the "core" policies you speak of?
It's a vague statement I've heard a million times...please define in your own terms what that really means.

effectively with all the facets involved...from the disasters and chaos in the countries that are forcing those immigrants toward our borders, to the buyers of cheap labor here in the U.S. (even at Trump's own golf courses)...
Until the GOP gets serious and pitches in to find remedies...instead of using inane cries of "Open Borders" for political fodder...these problems will be hard to fix.
You clearly haven't spent one moment thinking about the problem's causes, and therefore have no idea how to fix them...if it's so important to you, you should put the effort into truly understanding what is causing all this, and what measures need to be implemented to stop it....now is as good a time as any.

You’re not reading the tea leaves. Crime is out of control, border and homeless issues. And oh by the way gasoline and grocery prices are going through the roof and the supply chain issues. Need I say more?
Your liberal beliefs will crush you in November.
like to be their proxy...have at it PB...
Meanwhile, let me take a stab (again) at some of those issues...
>Crime rates...I've recently posted a link that showed U.S. homicides rose 30% between 2019 and 2020...guess who was in the WH with control of the House and Senate...did you see any action done or even proposed by the GOP?...this is a systemic problem that I believe has much (not all) to do with our large - and expanding - wealth/income inequality...tax reform, as proposed by Dems would HELP to bring those crime rates down...along with measures that even the Charles Koch Foundation champions...e.g. "De-Militarizing" Police Forces.
>Border Issues...Dems are 'walking and chewing gum' at the same time on this issue...i.e. stemming the surges from Central America and Haiti with a continuation of "Title 42" expulsions (mostly repeaters), while re-instituting lawful processing of those who aren't automatically expelled...ALSO, they are going to the sources of those surges to a) process people there, and not at our border...at the same time they are working with leaders in those countries to help reduce or eliminate the reasons why their citizens are running toward the USA....this never happened under the GOP admin.
>Homelessness is a large and multifaceted problem...I've also provided links on this issue...the causes are (in no particular order)...a) closure of mental institutions for those who don't want to be there...regardless of their mental capacities...like in CA by Gov. Reagan...where do those folks go, you ask?...to city streets and parks, b) drug use...many of those homeless are drug addicts that can't hold a job...where do they go?...city streets and parks (preferably where it's warm enough to survive outdoors)...c) states that 'ship' their homeless populations to other states with one-way tickets (e.g. to CA)...Google the process if you don't believe me...Woe to the states that actually give a hoot what happens to the homeless (e.g. CA), and struggles to deal with the problem...I for one would really appreciate you solving this one...please share the magic incantation that will make it all go away, PB.
>Gasoline Prices...do we really need to go over this again?...are you ever going to READ analyses of WHY they are at their current levels?...Good heavens...YOU are in the BUSINESS, so why aren't you laying out a foolproof plan of action? (btw, just remember that the decision has already been made by the oil industry on Climate Change...they have accepted it...and planning accordingly)
>Inflation...I've also posted more than one link on that issue...started with COVID...then Putin gave it a boost...also, the Fed has acknowledged a plan to increase their rate into the low-2% range over the next year or so...let's see how all of those things (none of which were created by Dems) shake out. I've talked regularly with one our our famous 'family members' ;-) who is a senior analyst and PhD in Economics at company whose business it is to advise Fortune 500 companies and global governments on such matters...without the recent "externalities" of COVID and the Russian invasion of Ukraine, there has been no structural reason for rampant inflation.
Bottom Line...the Democratic Party understands the reality of all that's going on and has policies to deal with them...all the GOP has right now are emotional complaints, but NO PLAN for HOW to deal with ANY of them...plus, they are now the ANTI-DEMOCRACY Party, thanks to Trump and all those "Luminaries" who support him...the GOP will win in deep red states and districts, but they have no answers anywhere else.
You sir deserve a gold star!
irrationally to everything these days.

the issues?...until that time...what are your ideas?..it only takes less than a minute for you to post a complaint, but coming up with a plan of action takes a lot longer, with a lot more thought...doesn't it....how about giving it a try....links are acceptable "currency" btw ;-).

in simple declarative statements. I believe this because of this:
One sentence, no laborious reading of your opinions or links.
Do you know why people tune you out because you are insufferable.
Shorten your posts and get to the fucking point.

As passionate as you may be, you aren't the repository of all knowledge on any and all matters...I welcome your opinions, but they don't carry much weight without data and additional independent expert perspectives...sorry about that, but that's the way every professional I've ever met conducts their business.
