Hmmm... that would not be neither the NBA nor Google.

Williniks "Extreme Ownership". Maybe in my next life.
Dude was the shit. Check it out. Talk about calm.
When I am working out I use it to push myself forward. When tired I think what would Goggins do. I like his statement where when one thinks one has gone as far as one can do the body still has another 60%. Can't say I go for the additional 60% but it does help me add another 10.

Those who need to work, however, better keep their "public" expressions very carefully guarded.

3/3 March 1983 — May 1985.
Two WESTPAC’s.
it covered? It seems to me it was not that far. I've got my own version(s) right here in Laguna Beach that I try to do 4/6 times per week. It's easier not carrying M-14, wearing steel pot etc, LOL. My memory tells me approx 4 miles. What do you think?
3rd Marines were in Kaneohe during my stint.
Are you referring to the Quantico trail that finished with the “yellow brick road?”
but for the life of me I couldn't tell you how many miles it covered. I'd like to think I could still do it though without the gear. LOL, anything to keep from getting old.
But, during Infantry Officer School, they had a 6 mile version. We started at the Confidence Course, which we did in reverse, and then looped through the woods and picked up the Day Movement course.
As you recall, there was a big difference between the summer months vs fall/winter. And of course, doing it in PT gear vs helmet, flak jacket, rifle and boots.
The all time worse was a hot humid summer day during The Basic School. It was NBC gear training and we humped on the washboard (tank trails) and then did small unit tactical maneuvers. About 4 hours straight in the snowmobile outfits. Sucksville!
