Planning matters.
Ingenuity matters.
Leadership matters.

It's a joke that private schools are opening en-masse but public schools need to be cautious.
They want a lockdown and unemployment plus federal funds.

Schools are largely a state and local endeavor.
Generally, the federal government ought not meddle or interfere with local communities who are better positioned to navigate the individual needs of their schools.
But, if we start with the premise that our nation's children are our #1 priority, then the President should move mountains to deliver effective education to our kids, ... even amidst a pandemic.
He can start by setting the example: (a) being honest and (b) being prudent, yet not fearful. [Obviously, Trump has proven to be incapable of both].
Any other President would:
-- unleash the "best and the brightest" to brainstorm how to best conduct in person education
-- Ask the Governors "What do you need from us? How can the federal government best assist your needs?"
-- ZOOM with Congressional leaders and Cabinet and tell them to shit the funding that the schools need to operate (with no politics)
-- Talk to America (and our kids) in a measured yet inspired tone: In the same manner Americans don't abandon our wounded and dead soldiers on the battlefield, we sure as fuck don't abandon our kids' needs to be educated.
Pretty basic Ned. Just be a leader.

Don't let the liberals hold their local schools hostage against the President. Take that weapon away from them by removing the feds from school management. That way, when the liberals destroy their own schools, they are just harming their own local communities, not the entire nation.

Ever since the pandemic knocked on our doors, Trump's strategy has been to roll over and play dead.
And the nation will continue to pay a heavy price.
