Is this not cancel culture?
Is it okay when it happens to a black person but not when white people get cancelled?
He made a long, detailed statement in which he said nasty things about Jews and then explained that white people are inferior due to a lack of melanin, and therefore only know how to be evil and are closer to savage animals.
This wasn't Kevin Hart calling someone a f****t. This was a blatant, brazen revelation of his nasty racist beliefs.
Nick Cannon got fired for something he said 15 or so days ago, Kevin Hart got fired from hosting the Oscars for something he said 15 years or so ago. Very different scenarios.
You can argue that either one of these punishments didn't fit the crime, but don't lump them all together.
One problem with our society at the moment is that we lump everything together. To highlight this, who was it, Matt Damon maybe? Someone made the argument regarding the MeToo movement that there are degrees of poor behavior. You can't treat a person who makes a bad joke the same as someone who is a serial rapist. Cancel Culture tried to crucify them for making this benign and obvious statement.
I tend to be more of a Bill Maher liberal in that regard. I've never read Harry Potter, but I don't think JK Rowling has done anything wrong.
That said, I think conservatives that decry cancel culture would have more credibility if they also defended Cannon and Kaepernick...They don't have to agree with what they say, but shouldn't call for their jobs. Consistency across party lines on this topic is important.

He’s 39 and is worth $50 million.
A lousy job of oppression it seems.
