rt the climate change agenda
under a different administration? You might not like that but to deny we can’t and that it is not possible is just not right. If the US and Canada decided to maximize production it would happen.
And oh by the way your link starts with “Our Climate Reporter”. Need I say more?
Can’t you do better than that?
Link into Chevron’s investor day video and hear their CEO talk about how long it takes to bring petroleum product to markets because of limits on pipelines and getting energy infrastructure done in the US. It’s 7 years now.
Post that link and we can discuss his opinions.
include you as well...talk about "insufferable"...the article blends the near-term with the long-term...that's for people who can walk and chew gum at the same time. The nations of the world have signed on to REDUCE their consumption of fossil fuels...not eliminate them, and certainly not NOW before they have sufficient alternative sources on line.
We have immediate, short-term issues to deal with due to COVID and Putin...not at all clear how that's going to turn out, but they explain our current pricing. Can we take short term measures, such as temporarily increasing production?...of course...but that doesn't change the long term objective. There's no tried-and-true playbook for this transition...as the article illustrates there is more than one way to look at the WHOLE situation.
Please try to open your mind...and eyes...by reading more and posting less on this topic. If you had the answers you'd be telling us all, with complete confidence, what the proper path was...but you don't...because you haven't studied and haven't read even the basic materials that have been put before you.
Climate Change is real...195 countries and the entire O&G industry are planning around it...yet you are oblivious to that fact...start catching up.
Your statement about all these nations signing off on the the climate change treaty is ludicrous. How many of those 195 countries are hypocrites. I can tell you.
Didn’t China and India just agree to buy millions of tons of coal over the next 20 years from Russia? Are they part of the Paris deal?
And we and the EU won’t stop Swift payments involved in Russian oil and gas exports. Does that make you proud?
Why can’t you see the real world? You can’t be this stupid.
Agreement...btw, along with the coal deal, China is actually in the process of building 20 new nuclear power plants...also, Russia has completed an 800 MWe 'Fast Breeder Reactor' (2016), so they too are preparing for a lower CO2 future...and India is planning on taking advantage of its plentiful Thorium reserves with reactors powered by that source.
Those countries...and hopefully the USA...are taking action now to prepare for the FUTURE...the current coal deals are 'bridging' moves to get them there without sacrificing their standards of living...that's what I mean by 'walking and chewing gum at the same time'...it's a TRANSITION...they understand it, but each country will go about it in ways that fits their situation...
As soon as you "Get It", the better off you'll be, and the lower your BP (that's 'blood pressure', not 'British Petroleum' ;-))

I would hope as an American you would be better. Instead you attack our oil industry and praise the Paris accords and those countries like Russia, China and India who don’t give a shit about climate change.
Think long and hard about who you support.

Things that are disgusting to normal people he doesn't bat an eyelash. But he fancies himself an enlightened man. He's truly a misguided individual. It's scary he walks amongst us.
How’s your horse and wagon doing. Do you have electricity in your house? So don’t lecture me on climate change.
