in a quarter and it happened at least twice during the first three years.
And now we have the pandemic, Donald's fault. I can remember when "we only had 15 cases soon to be none". For the next 7 weeks lard-ass did nothing. Let me know if you need to see lard-asses calendar for those 7 weeks.

Neither Trump nor any governors caused the contraction. Or to the extent either did, it was to save hundreds of thousands of lives.
I blame 64 for starting this turd of an argument.

You are assuming Biden is better. He may not be. In fact, I think he would be worse. So, yes, my vote is obvious, but in the opposite way you say, because more important than how I am today after 4 years is how do I think I will be in 4 years in each case of the two candidates. The "are you better off" question assumes the the other side will not be harmful, which is an erroneous assumption.
I always thought Trump was a roll of the dice (could be good, could be bad). I said so 4 years ago. I also always thought Hillary would be worse, and I know that to be true with Biden and the new left trying to repeal anti-discrimination laws and who want to take my guns while simultaneously reducing police protection, etc. The choice for Biden is only "obvious" to those who don't think it through.
You did see that Trump tweeted a video of a doctor that told people not to wear masks b/c we have a cure? From a doctor that literally believes in alien DNA and demon sperm. When confronted, Trump doubled down on his support for her.
You likely also saw that support for wearing masks among Republicans jumped from 40% to over 60% immediately after Trump finally started occasionally wearing one and saying others should do the same. Imagine how many lives would have been saved if he embraced masks from Day 1.
You also know about the giant indoor Trump rally in Tulsa where no masks or social distancing was required that certainly led to the death of Herman Cain and likely many others?
At this point, a president in a fully vegetative state would do a better job than Trump simply b/c they wouldn't do and say things that make the situation worse, which is what Trump does at least once a week.
It really is as simple as Frank lays it out. No other issue (eg, Green New Deal) has the potential to impact our lives like covid has. Trump failed miserably at the only issue that really matters in 2020. He will fail miserably at the next crisis as well.
Even you guys have to agree with that. Most of you have argued Trump should have done more, while Biden was saying to slow down, and Dems in New York and California were encouraging people to go out to eat, and go to Chinese New Year festivals. So, yeah, it could have been worse.
Regarding your other points:
I don't see Trump tweets until you guys give me links. I also don't listen to the president on matters like this. I listen to the CDC, state and county guidelines. Probably smart if the nation does that as well, but I acknowledge that the gene pool is being cleaned somewhat.
I don't know about the supposedly weird stuff the doctor believes. I asked for a link about that from the people who said that, but I never saw one. Not sure I care, but the attacks seem like political BS, and if a conservative made them, the conservative would be called a racist for doing so. That is the focus of the Dems, not actually saving people. Look at the LA teacher's union, who want charter schools closed before re-opening public schools...it's all politics.
I never saw any percentage of support among Republicans for mask wearing. Not something I would follow.
I do know about the Tulsa rally. Seemed stupid at the time.
Trump has appointed better justices. He has repealed harmful regulations. The only real criticisms of him are: (i) he says stupid stuff (which I agree with), and (ii) he could have done better on Covid (which is true, I suppose, but it would be true of any president, and I don't see Biden doing any better at all).
I think you need to step back from the covid ledge. It is affecting us as bad as it is (more than just as a pandemic) because we are letting it. Yes, it is a pandemic. Yes, people will die. That doesn't mean we have to kill more people by shutting down the country. That doesn't mean we have to live in fear. We just need to be smart. A war has come to our shores, and people will die, but let's not commit national suicide. Step up and do your civic duty, and work.

Key stat: "The U.S. death toll is the worst in the world, by a large measure. Despite having less than 5% of the global population, nearly a quarter of the 662,000 deaths reported during the pandemic worldwide have occurred in the United States. The next-worst toll is in Brazil, which is reporting around 89,000 deaths."
This war has come to every country in the world. We are just dealing with it much, much worse than everyone else. There's no denying that the American response has an abject failure. You are blaming 2 out of 50 governors and a political candidate with no power for that? Or the sitting president?

This isn't about picking between a good candidate and Trump. This is about picking between Biden and Trump. If I could be guaranteed that Biden wouldn't do anything for 4 years, I would vote for him. But, if he wins and the Dems get Congress (which I think they will), then a lot of bad stuff for the Republic will start to happen, and we have to look at the big picture here, beyond Covid.
with your children inside.
I don't know what Biden will do with regards to the pandemic. There are several things I'm sure he won't do. He won't go against the prevailing science. He won't continuously downplay the threat of the disease. He won't discourage mask use. He won't hold giant indoor rallies. He won't provide an audience to a doctor that believes in demon sperm. (Can't believe that last one is not an Onion headline).
First rule is always to do no harm. Trump can't help himself on that one.
He won't continuously downplay the threat of the disease? I don't see that.
He'd support mass political gatherings if it supported his cause, just like the Dems have done. They condemn the Tulsa rally, but they support left-wing gatherings.
And, I suspect he already goes against biological science when determining the sex of an animal. Why do you think he would be pro biology on this issue?
He goes with "truth" over facts. He will go with ideology every time. In the end, he will do whatever the Democrats tell him to do (since he is not all there), and we know that would be counterproductive and counter science. Why wouldn't he shut down churches and allow bars to remain open? It's the Democrat answer. We aren't really voting for Biden. We are voting for a Democrat puppet president.

Everything is relative. I never said he was great. Although, before covid came along, this country was rocking, and there really was no way he was going to lose. The only really bad thing for him in this election is covid. I get if people are upset, but I definitely don't think Biden would do better. He barely knows it is happening.
You can only make this election a choice between Trump and an excellent candidate by ignoring (not caring about?) the facts.
There is no where to go but up. No matter how bad Biden is. Biden in a full coma wouldn't be as bad as Trump. I really mean that.

If he were a strong leader deciding not to act, that might be better.
But, he is Biden, which means he is a puppet. I don't want the nation to look like Portland or Chicago or New York City. Do you???

People are dropping like flies in those states. As much as the violence in Portland sucks, statewide, it's a very small percentage of the population involved. People there aren't dying at the same rate as Florida, Arizona and Texas. Nationally, the virus is killing about 1 person per minute right now. It's unfathomable it could get worse than that.
I just watched a 6 minute interview of him from mid-February. They talked about healthcare, but never asked about covid, and he never made a single comment about covid.
There were no debate questions on covid around that time. I think the Feb 26 debate had the first covid question asked. Biden said he would do what he did with the Ebola pandemic to keep it coming to our shores...even though he criticized Trump for trying to do exactly that. Not quite the same thing, of course...more deadly, but not as contagious. Otherwise, it was all bluster...he kept getting louder about throwing more money into the CDC.
Meanwhile, right around that time (late Feb.) Deblasio (even his City Health Commissioner) and Pelosi were telling people to go to restaurants, to go to festivals...don't let the covid virus change your life. They were more worried about racism at that time than in saving lives, which is what we would get more of if they control the country...and I think we will get that. So, be at peace; I think you will get your way. I predict things will get better immediately upon his election.
For every misstatement Biden has made on Covid, Trump has had at least 100.

Wish the choice was better, but it also could have been worse.
And will she keep old Joe propped up for two years and a day, so she can run for 2 more terms, or will she move on the Oval Office the day after Biden is sworn in? I guess it depends on how far loony left Biden’s pick turns out to be.
