FWIW, I offer my keen insights:
1) Epstein was a genuine manipulative sociopath and predator. Maxwell is a sociopath.
2) Epstein was 100% a victim of sexual abuse, that centered around massages as an adolescent. Epstein’s daily existence was to revisit his own victimization, albeit in a detached and predatory manner. Like a shark that systematically feeds on its prey, Epstein required pre-programmed sexual abuse of his daily prey. Epstein was masterful in his targeting.
3) But, he had to feed to survive. Epstein killed himself when he learned he would be detained without bail, and hence, could no longer feed. That reality was worse than the loss of his liberty.
4) Epstein was very aware in real time that despite his wealth and power, he had exposure because of the volume of victims. His pre-planned defense was to create cover by adding fellow perpetrators to the hunting grounds. In other words, the more eyes to witness the minors hanging out at his island or ranch or house, the less sinister appearance of any criminal wrongdoing.
5) Epstein also insulated himself by inviting the most powerful and influential people into the loop. These perpetrators were also targeted for their power, but also their likelihood to participate in sex with minors or barely adult victims of his sexual abuse. They didn’t befriend Epstein because they thought he was a really funny or interesting guy to hang out with. Epstein figured if these other powerful perpetrators were immune from prosecution, then so was he. They were Epstein’s insurance policy. Epstein placed high value on his ability to identify other men who would not report what they see, but actually partake.
6) Acosta was compromised. Either by a bribe or see #5.
It's an absolutely huge sum left in his estate, and he probably spent at least that much while he was alive, as well.
Epstein operated like Putin's GRU.
Compromise the super wealthy target. Agree on an "arrangement."
See Leslie Wexler as Exhibit "A."
I do think Epstein had real skills on money management. But, he had to have a hook to draw in the super wealthy to "trust" Epstein with their money.
But it is such a huge amount. It would be the most successful case of extortion in history, wouldn't it? And nobody ever made a claim against him for that. Remarkable.

I will edit and make clear.

For someone who travels 1x with Epstein or who visits his island 1x might look around, see what Epstein is all about, and never return or hang out with the guy, .. I can give such a person the benefit of the doubt.
But, for the guy making multiple visits to the island or joining Epstein for multiple trips, ... that is a huge red flag.
others?
Robert Mueller.
It is amazing how quickly you all give Mueller a pass.
