Haven't found it yet, but found this, which mentioned several times that city officials say that people should be confident to go out in New York City, to restaurants, and to the China New Year celebrations.
Also interesting in this video: The news reports people who scheduled dinners in China Town restaurants, but who then canceled them because of the virus...well, those people were called xenophobic. Of course, that is insane for several reasons.
--The people scheduled a dinner there...why would they do that if they were xenophobic? Obviously, they are not xenophobic if they scheduled dinners there.
--Those people canceled because they were concerned about the virus. But, being concerned about the virus was equated with xenophobia. So, the Left was actually shaming anyone who had any concern about the virus at that point. Pretty amazing.
They were still worried about Trump being an autocrat at this point, not calling for him to do more to lock the country down. The impeachment had just wound down, and Super Tuesday was coming up...can you imagine what the Left would have been saying if Trump actually did lock down the country at that point?...if he actually did do what they now say he should have done?...when they were shaming people for voluntarily doing what they now say they want Trump to have mandated?
