It’s good to have Arab recognition of Israel...but it’s not like Camp David.
I'm just a rube who can't make sense of such things. So thankful for the direction.
UAE sits on the gulf of hormuz, directly across from Iran. Strategically, it is the most important territory in the region. Plus, this may well be the first domino to fall in terms of a comprehensive Arab/Israeli settlement. The Saudis in particular are paranoid about Iranian hegemony. They were freaked by the Obama/Iranian bailout. This Israeli/UAE treaty may be a trial balloon or a rehearsal for a broader one now in the works. If it goes well... there may be an October surprise. The Arabs do not see Joe Biden and the Dem Squad as their friends.

And the deal is a good one. It is being done with Iran in mind, you’re right. There won’t be a “broader” deal, but other bilateral ones might be possible, with Bahrain or Qatar. Or maybe Oman.
I just hope we don't reverse course after our election, no matter how it goes. The Iranians are pissed.

ilout in the history of man. Not.
Who controls the money and economy in the Middle East? Who is the political trend setter?
Watch other dominoes fall into line with other Arab nations following suit.
You would absolutely not be trying to downplay this amazing achievement had it happened under a Dem president.
Btw, this is all about a common enemy in Iran - the country that Obama foolishly tried to appease.
If that holds, it could represent a major step forward in Arab-Israeli relations.
And if it turns out that this normalization was Netanyahu’s plan all along, it will have been a strategic coup.
