Trump: “We are going to win four more years. And then after that, we’ll go for another four years because they spied on my campaign. We should get a redo of four years.”
22nd Amendment: "No person shall be elected to the office of the President more than twice.”
This issue couldn't be more cut and dry.
If you still support Trump, you are supporting someone who aspires to tear down basic tenets of our democracy so he can rule indefinitely. There is no getting around this.

Or, maybe should I just ask why you are so anti-democracy?
For the record, I do support the Constitution. It is being slowly subjected to a death by a thousand cuts, and that is quite unfortunate for the nation and for the world. I wish the Democrats supported the Constitution as much as Trump supporters do.
The 22nd Amendment is very, very clear. There is no wiggle room. It's perhaps the most clearly worded part of our Constitution.
Would running for a 3rd term violate the Constitution? Yes or no?
If he gets a "third term" without an Article V amendment (which is possible), then it is the end of the Constitution.
I don't believe for a second that anyone takes him seriously on that.
For DRO who is void of all sense of humor and uttterly literal, I am speaking in sarcastic jest. i am very literally saying that YOU liberals would do this in a heart beat, and that if we were like you, we should do this while we have the chance and play by your rules. But we are NOT like you.
If he said he intended to in 2012, I would have voted for Romney.

"We" refers to conservatives and capitalists rather than liberals and communists. Not him personally beyond his two term max.
He didn't mean himself, and of course none of us would support that.
So who is the "we" running in 2020?...And how would the "spied on his campaign" have anything to do with any candidate but him? If it wasn't for the spying, the Republicans wouldn't run any candidate in 2024?
You may not support him running for a 3rd term (as of today), but Trump clearly intends to.
Never has any president so clearly and openly stated his intention to violate his oath (to uphold the Constitution). You either support a guy that totally disregards the Constitution or you don't.
You sound like the people who thought Obama was going to run for a third term. There was a lot of discussion about it back then, although I suspect you didn't follow it as closely as you are now, for partisan reasons. Obama gave a speech speculating about what he would do in his third term (while denying his interest, just like FDR did), which caused a bunch of articles to be written about it, and put the right into a froth for a period of weeks. There was a pending bill proposing repeal of the two term limit that didn't get anywhere, but it was pending in Congress at the time. Barney Frank was trying to repeal the 22nd Amendment to allow Bill Clinton to run for a third term...and Jose Serrano and others wanted to do it for Obama. R's have proposed such amendments for Republican presidents as well. It's all silliness.
“We are going to win four more years. And then after that, we’ll go for another four years because they spied on my campaign. We should get a redo of four years.”
There is no other rational interpretation than that he intends to run for president a 3rd time, in direct violation of the Constitution.
I don't give a shit what he said. If you've been paying attention, you would know that he says bullshit all the time.

You've lost all common sense when it comes to Trump.
A piece of serious advise:
I can tell that you are internalizing the MSM drivel too much. They have you wound to the point where I am worried that you'll go do something stupid. You need to back away from those radicalizing information sources. You aren't equipped with the filter necessary to handle what they are pouring into you.

every time. No he cannot have more than 2 terms. How is Junior or maybe Ivanka be President if he is still in office?

But let's break down your reason...
To totally disregard the Constitution simply to own the libs...
That's great too. All of our leaders should clearly and openly violate the oath they took (to uphold the Constitution) just to own the libs. That's apparently okay with you if it is for those reasons?
All civility is gone. Granted, he is not civil, but that is a personal comment, not a constitutional one. I think the Dems have shown great disdain for the constitution by challenging Trump's presidency the way they have.
I assume, though, that he only need fear state prosecution, since I assume he will leave office with a pocket self-pardon. Why would he not, given how the Democrats have behaved, abusing the justice system to get at him and people who commit the sin of working in his administration and campaign?

1) My rules are the constitution. The Reid/Pelosi/MSM rules are "anything goes." So, if my side is going with the "anything goes" rules, they are not my rules, they are just trying to play on a level playing field.
2) The Left started threatening impeachment even before he was sworn in. The Left never accepted his presidency, not for one day.
3) He never tried to put HRC in jail. But, you guys might actually do it. You do say you want to do it. Given how the Left abused constitutional powers to spy on his campaign, trying to "punish your enemies" (in the words of Obama) by prosecuting him after the fact on trumped up charges would be right in line with the past actions of the Left. He has the power of pardon himself; HRC never did.
You think he is actually going to "disregard the Constitution"? Wow, he has permanent residency in your head. Hope he at least pays you rent. If you despise him as much as you do, why do read what he says or watch him? I hate the Obamas and will not listen or read about them. I advise you to start doing the same with Trump if he causes you this much pain.
