Joe. Plagiarism claims follow him like lawsuit claims follow Trump.

remarks on.
This is a nothing burger but it sure makes for great troll bait by you R's.
I thought that was just Marianne Williamson?
He can't find his way to the bathroom on his own, but he can lead us to God, through his words. He's like some blind monk, who's locked himself in a room for 40 years, in some central European monastery, just thinking and praying. I would insert a line about Corn Pop here, but it's late.

But I've taken psychedelic drugs too, so...
Trump sucks, perhaps the worst president ever in terms of things I care about in a president like: accountability, leadership, pragmatism and temperament.
Biden/Harris suck in this regard as well.
We're fucked regardless. Poor choices, yet again.
to sound moderate. With the accumulation of your posts, it's more than obvious, you are a R ticket all the way and look to cliche' rhetoric that justifies your choices. In other words - thoughtless.
Let's rephrase; Can't take you seriously at all
Antifa13 had it right last night when he criticized both parties. But I'm not an anarchist either.
But whatever your definition of moderate is, that likely won't solve any problems either.
Here's a sampling of my thoughts:
1. CoVID is not an existential threat for most people in this country, $27T in debt is.
2. The widening wealth gap is one of the biggest problems we face. A society where some people have yachts they can land their helicopter on while children are malnourished and live in violent neighborhoods with no apparent way out is not just immoral, it's completely unsustainable.
3. We've reached a level of divisiveness and dysfunction in our politics that no problem great or small can be solved in a rational manner. See: health insurance, CoVID, debt, etc.
4. We more closely resemble an oligarchy than a republic.
"that likely won't solve any problems either."
Your post and the reason for my post - "Trump sucks, perhaps the worst president ever in terms of things I care about in a president like: accountability, leadership, pragmatism and temperament.
Biden/Harris suck in this regard as well.
We're fucked regardless. Poor choices, yet again."
your post is R rhetoric - though true, Trump is (and this isn't just a possibility) the worst of all POTUS's in the last century and that's in terms of everything.
You will vote for him again and you'll have no problem doing so. You have no cred.

Biden/Harris are a great choice. But, based upon your sentiments that both choices suck, what is the “best” choice?
Other than that the field was really weak.
Again, let what is the “best” choice on the ballot for President be your guide.
If Trump wins, you're complicit.

Obama’s endorsement of Biden has not been tepid. Quite the contrary. If you need me to link Obama’s passionate endorsement of Biden, I will.

But at a fundamental level, no one's thoughts are their own.
It's also hurtful to atheists, because it implies that all thoughts trace back to the very first people, Adam and Eve to most, or to God Himself. And I think wiping out hurtfulness and taking offense are now a priority here, and who can disagree with that? Consider yourself nearly canceled.
I am not a Native American, though I spent my youth studying their culture, dressing up as one, making a tepee and such in the Grove on the farm, learning the traditions and various nature based spirituality, trying them out on my own... I now know that I was appropriating and that was wrong. It would have somehow been better to not learn their cultures and not admire them, not try to be like them.
I am not an atheist, though I identify with them as some sort of agnostic spiritualist. I suppose I need to pick a lane here as well, otherwise as a raised as Catholic I am appropriating again.
But as a person who has never engaged in social media, I am uncancellable.

The exact statements are not very close. The overall sentiment is as old as the hills. It certainly would not survive a motion to dismiss for copyright infringement. That is probably why they brought this (or represent it) as a "plagiarism" case. It sounds bad, and has a murky definition. In general, it is passing off someone's work as your own.
Well, Biden's speech did not use anything close to verbatim. At best he expressed the idea of the examples where a positive sentiment is better than its negative counterpart. That idea was not originated by the Canadian. The original work of the Canadian, at best, was the exact diction and wording used. Biden did not use that diction and wording, and thus was not passing off the Canadian's work.
And it’s not like the metaphor is unique. They could just as easily say he plagiarized the Jedis.
The post-convention attacks have been so odd:
Biden pre-recorded the speech!
They omitted “under God” from the pledge!
Biden plagiarized!
All demonstrably false.
Is that really the best they have?
I don't care if he read it spontaneously or if he prerecorded the speech. ( It was so staged that I do think it was prerecorded), but who cares?
But plagiarism, I care about....especially from this guy with his history. He should be stayiing as far away from "similar phrases" (that are identical) if he had any sense left. It's a testament to his judgement abilities for the job of POTUS.
And please don’t pretend that you care about plagiarism. As if that is just something you can’t put up with in a politician.

and would most certainly lie as they have already been doing. They also have been protecting him from any challenging questions. This is simply obvious to all.
But I would rather have Biden having a higher bar than reading a teleprompter speech full of nonspecific cliches.
So ok...let’s just assume it was actually read the way you think that it was.
The guy needs to answer questions and debate. He needs to come out of his basement and away from his wife and handlers. He needs to be an adult now.

Remember when Chuck Todd stumped him with, "Who's buried in Grant's tomb?" Brutal.

And that charge of plagiarism would not hold up in any honor board hearing. I’ve been on more than a few.
They are similar - sorta - but not identical, and it’s not like they are on a theme that could not have been thought of by two unrelated people.
It’s s prettty common metaphor.
This is not going to stick, I’m afraid.
.......and the question was not brought up by Rush, it was a caller. And it is a legit question, though I want it to be that Joe could at least read a prepared speech on a telepromtper because it raises the bar to a level higher than if Biden can babble, he "hit a home run" to the MSM.
Since you've had a chance to sit on so many. Nor is it a court of law as Lehigh seemed to indicate. So they're not really applicable here.
And I agree this likely won't stick. But it's just another "episode" of an accusation that has dogged Biden his entire political career.
Much ado about nothing. But the man continues to raise eyebrows....
SRD
And frankly, it was the only reason I could have excused the article that was attached - that they were reporting on a lawsuit. Now I see it's just an admittedly baseless allegation.
