Not on the facts, of course.
But, put Trump and NRA and white militia groups on trial.
Present the kid as a well intended loser looking for a moment to shine who was vulnerable and susceptible to the President’s and RNC’s “law and order” rhetoric. He simply followed Trump’s and Pence’s marching orders, too stupid and immature to appreciate justified deadly force vs intentional killing.
Too stupid to be accountable.

Or are they all in the same bucket?
If separate buckets, does it make sense to distinguish dedicated professional police officers vs unfit racist police officers?
Any chance that each protester, each police officer, be viewed as an individual? As a fellow citizen?
They are few and far between now. Groups like Antifa and BLM make sure of that. I have yet to hear you condemn any of the damage the assholes have done to cities across the US. Yes, there are racist police officers. The idiot who knelt on Floyd's neck deserves to be prosecuted and sent to jail. Put him in general population and we won't have to worry about him for long. Although, without the drugs in Floyd's system, would it have been a different situation?
Do you think the police need to be defunded and replaced with Social workers like they want to do in certain cities?
And if this kid is to be viewed as an individual, why blame Trump and Pence? Shouldn't an individual be able to think for themselves? Is there anyway you see he acted in self defense? The people who chased had no hand on what happened, right? The guy who got his arm blown off would have killed him if he didn't react but he sure as hell is playing the victim right now.
When they are not defending their own property?
Out of towners?
Or, should we defer to local and state law enforcement to police the protests?

I'm really shocked there wasn't a WaPo opinion piece attached to his post telling what to do.

Link a post where you have expressed your unconditional support for peaceful protesters since George Floyd’s death.
At the link, Ned saying, "No one thought the Floyd killing was justified."

Kill Whitey!
Boo!
I did a search for posts by me with the word "Floyd" in them. That's what I found. You can see at least that I differentiated between peaceful protests, and the rioters. I condemned the killing of Floyd on day one. I support peaceful protests.
When you equate my condemnation of rioters and looters to a condemnation of peaceful protestors, you are playing YOUR game of mixing the two together. You try to pretend that I condemn peaceful protest, but that is just you lying, as usual. This is you, accusing the Right of playing a game that only you play.

And just so you know, I took the family on vacation this summer. We went into a small town, with a town square, and there were peaceful BLM protestors there. I rolled my eyes, of course, but then I pointed out to my kids that those protestors were doing it right.
