It is Trump's utter contempt for the pandemic, reflected in his ardent supporters not donning masks last night as his acceptance speech.
Besides containing the spread of infection, masks are a visual tool, a visual reminder to all of us, to respect the virus, to respect thy neighbor.
I truly hope none of those in attendance get ill. But, we all need to set an example for each other.
Isn't he positive for the virus?
This isn't going to end well.

Maybe that was a requirement to attend? Quit just trying to find something to complain about. You guys are the problem with this country.
a little far fetched but since you brought it up - were they all virus survivors?
Look at our numbers. Compare to the rest of the world.
Can we do better?
First it was wear a mask to protect yourself, then it turned into wear a mask to protect others (when they decided that science proves cloth masks are not protecting you), and now we have moved to "wear a mask to set the example even if you already had the virus and can no longer get it again or pass it to someone else.". Coming from the poster none-the-less that calls everyone a menace for not wearing a mask. I'm guessing you are one of those guys that wear a N95 to "protect others".
Last night? I bet the view for the fireworks was awesome.
Labeling COVID-19 at the "China Virus" does not make us safer.
Labeling COVID-19 as the "China Virus" is not a public health policy.
Stop this from my side now. Have a good day and vote red in November.
as it's only a major Hatch Act rule broken but then, this guy is above the laws and norms of the United States of America. He's a guy who loves
to flaunt being the president of Law and Order in America and you eat that stuff up all day long.

its efficacy.
Wearing masks doesn't prevent a person from getting the virus, it helps in a big way to prevent someone who might have the virus from passing it on as well
as it helps in a small way prevent the wearer from receiving the virus
The reason for social distancing is that while wearing a mask it exponentially reduces the risk of either getting the virus or passing it on.
This photo shows, that even if you're one of the four or five mask wearers in the crowd of almost 2,000, crammed into that small area, wearing that mask is rendered almost useless.
But they're Republicans and they'll do as their cult leader tells them to do.
Way to engender productive discussion.
Maybe they dont have masks on because:
1. They have already had the virus
2. They were all tested before they were admitted
3
Who did the testing, what type of test and the results of each test happened in what space of time?
I'm trying to understand your post and what you mean by engender conversation.
What is it I got wrong in about wearing masks and social distancing?
That was your first post on this board - so how about making your second one a clear headed and thoughtful post on the efficacy of mask wearing
so the engendering may continue.
