Wow. Another Supreme Court nominee. A ND graduate. Can’t wait.

We will never know because RBG was allowed to live while other possible RBG’s were snuffed out.

That didn’t take long.
This will just deal another blow to our democracy, which depends on norms. It is going to be really, really ugly. On both sides.
And don’t be surprised if the Democrats try to pack the court when they get the presidency and senate.
It will be wrong, but it will not matter.
If Mitch says that we are doing this and you can’t stop us, then Chuck will say the same thing.
And US democracy will continue to spiral downward.
Especially those up for re-election in 46 days.
She said she won't vote until after the election. All it would take is Romney or Collins to say the same, and there is no point in a vote.
If she is not smart, then maybe she has drawn a line in the sand.
This is about to get really, really ugly.
A handful of GOP senators have enough sense of history.

The Dem astronaut is way ahead of R McSally. There is a D attorney general who is in charge of the swearing in.
That means on 11/4 the GOP majority will be 2.
Might be important to the calculations to come.

Here's your "moral high ground." Reid would do anything for his party.
Crickets
Democrats filibustered the civil rights bill. You have no moral high ground as a party.
Reid would do it because he could. The Democrats are going to pack the court, which will ensure civil war. McConnell might as well do his duty while he is in office.
Once again, you are talking out of your ass.
Everyone who is in office right now should do their constitutional duty regarding what is happening now. That includes Trump. That includes McConnell.
The Constitution requires that the president and the Senate be in substantial alignment for SCOTUS justices. That wasn't the case with Garland. That is the case now. This is right and proper. This is what the Constitution requires.
I understand that you will argue against the Constitution, as you would do in many other instances. You care about power more than you care about anything else. We all see that.
Do some research. SCOTUS nominees are commonly opposed by Senates of different parties, and commonly confirmed by Senates of common party with the President.
Having said all that, I'm not convinced there are enough GOP senators willing to do their duty. We shall see.

Of course, none of it matters. All that matters is that the people in office now do their duty now.

Ruth Ginsburg did her nation proud.
One of the greatest jurists of our lifetime.
Condolences. Is he also a class act?

by your party and media hacks. One of the greatest liberal jurists. Her espousing your views doesn’t make her great in my eyes.
Do you have a sliver of decency to allow the nation to mourn our loss?
Table your deplorable partisan nonsense until the Senate Judiciary Committee holds a nomination hearing.

Ok...what the odds that this situation will encourage an enlightened debate in this forum about the deep issues now before us?
Irish” but also the creepy DC Skeletons and fake trash from the media. And of course the anti catholic Democrat corruption on the Judiciary Committee like our VP Democrat nominee will be big.
I just hope that the University does not somehow get dragged into the mud.
