Obviously the former.
And yet, Dems will come here and tell us that we should not do the former because it will take too long...but they are silent on how long it will take to switch the entire nation over to electric vehicles. Totally disingenuous.
Organic, non-GMO of course.
will it take to charge my battery? It takes about 5 minutes to fill up my tank with gas. Is there a super charge in 5 minutes?
technology and adaptation by the driving public should do the trick...
Once again...don't lose sight of WHY we're headed in this direction...and why we can't stop the process. (Note: EIA and BP forecast known Global Oil Reserves will last us 47 years at current worldwide consumption levels).

How long does it take to charge yours?
to your point, there is evidence that you just may be able to 'fill your tank' in 5 minutes...on any EV, regardless of price...aren't you happy about that?

I know...to troll.
Stark...you've lost the element of "surprise" ;-).

I bet the brown people that mow and manicure his lawn and garden use gas powered mowers blowers and edgers. The rigs that deliver his sparkling water. The organic fruits and vegetables he righteously purchases at the farmers market. The grass fed organic beef and poultry. The trawlers that feed his taste for fine seafood. The delicious wines and spirits he pours down his gaping maw. All delivered to him by diesel. All gas powered. For his consumption. His and that of his privileged progeny.
No. Going green is for YOU. Peasants.

a couple of decades...but it will be happening...look at FORD's ads for e-Trucks, or any other car company's ads...they are all investing real money in EV production lines...stop denying the obvious. Even the O&G industry is looking to "low carbon" investment opportunities (see my McKinsey links)...you're wasting your time shoveling sand against the tide.
A policy to make all the greenies feel like there is "progress" being made. Car manufacturers.... they'll say the right things. Put out all the right press for the media to lap up. Look appropriately mournful for their past sins, but pledge to "listen and do better". San Fran libs like yourself and Pelosi will puff out their chests and point to their "achievements". You'll head back to your compounds with your freezer full of Italian gelato proud of a hard day's work.
Then as you sip your chardonnay... everyone can get back to the real work.
dollars for "Cosmetic" reasons?...seriously?
There is some precedent for them being less than forthcoming. And is it really billions?
Did you know Evian spelled backwards is naive?
Link: Who killed the EV?
That link of yours just illustrates how inevitable this change is...in spite of underhanded efforts by oil companies, rational progress will not be denied...
And, yes...you have a "Trust" problem.
Link: https://www.exacthowmuch.com/how-much-does-it-cost-to-build-a-car-manufacturing-plant/
I trust those worthy of it.
the car companies are indeed spending BILLIONS on new EV production lines...and so are the battery manufacturers...take the case of Porsche and BASF setting up a brand new, 'State of the Art' production facility for next generation batteries to power those "Taycans"...just Google "Porsche, BASF" if you don't "trust" me.
Talk about being "Wrong Again"...you are in the running for 'First Choice' in that category...
btw, haven't heard your reply to my post on Sam Brinton...surely you'd like to share your thoughts on that topic.
So you ok with ol' Sammy putting your grandkids on a leash a parading them around? What about your kids? Grandma Ty? Think that's respect for human dignity? Loving your neighbors?
Or maybe that's your bag you fucking pervert. You offered to introduce me to your new golf partner counselor. Wanna meet a pastor or 3 I might know? You can chat about scripture :-)
...he's also been remarkably open and public about his sexuality and upbringing...not in any way skulking about in the shadows ready to pounce on an unsuspecting victim...get real, Stark.
...and how do you manage to call someone else a "pervert" merely for failing to condemn an innocent man?...btw, some say that 36% of Americans have a secret sexual fetish...did you know that?...could be why the book and movie "50 Shades of Grey" was so popular...you really should focus on folks who actually commit sexual crimes against others, and leave Sam Brinton alone.
Electric vehicles.
Oh, wait, that’s still decades away. So, I guess we look to maximize alternatives that benefit this country and its citizens while also not putting ourselves in this stupid position again. There is a real desire on the part of some people to want to punish Americans.
The ones who think America is fundamentally racist.

Persian Gulf monarchies have signaled they won’t help ease surging oil prices unless Washington supports them in Yemen, elsewhere
The White House unsuccessfully tried to arrange calls between President Biden and the de facto leaders of Saudi Arabia and the United Arab Emirates as the U.S. was working to build international support for Ukraine and contain a surge in oil prices, said Middle East and U.S. officials.
Saudi Crown Prince Mohammed bin Salman and the U.A.E.’s Sheikh Mohammed bin Zayed al Nahyan both declined U.S. requests to speak to Mr. Biden in recent weeks, the officials said, as Saudi and Emirati officials have become more vocal in recent weeks in their criticism of American policy in the Gulf.

required infrastructure to support EV’s. At the same time we need to manage the transition. So regardless of geopolitical problems if we have gas prices at over $10 per gallon it would put this country into a serious recession.
The transition is the issue.
btw, the conversion to EVs is actually happening as we speak...it's not going to stop...if you're paying any attention to what all car companies and the O&G industry are doing, you'd know this...why doesn't that fact come through in your posts?
You know. Way over yr tips on this one, link boi
like...do you believe we have a Climate Change crisis?...or, are the 5 years of proven U.S. oil reserves a problem for us?...if not, why not?...
You should start a thread about your proposed national policy of the US relying on the kindness of Venezuela and Saudi Arabia
immediate need...I referenced Biden's approach...that if successful...would be IMO the quickest route, since "increasing oil production in the U.S.' would take considerably longer...to my mind, that's a tactic worth pursuing...don't you?
I'm actually not opposed to using up other nations' oil before we use up American oil.
But, that was not the issue I was posting on. I was pointing out some hypocrisy on the Left, when they use Reason X to justify not doing something they don't want to do, but ignoring the fact that Reason X applies better as a reason not to do what they do want to do. You have so far successfully avoided responding. Feel free to avoid again, and we can call it a day.
irrelevant, since we both should know that such a condition won't be reached for a decade or more...we have to agree on that...right?
Feel free to respond tomorrow..."Bonne Nuit"
