The same way they felt the day the second plane hit on 9/11? That shit set me off...plenty of dumb shit posted by friends left and right but that is the dumbest I have ever seen

And, I dare say you do live in a different place than I do. I don't know anyone who would post that. Before I left Facebook, it was 100% liberals posting.
Was not ditching it, always happy to have a civil debate. But probably done for the night.
New President...big deal. It changes absolutely nothing where I'm concerned.
But apparently it has not been well received. Give me a good brisket recipe and cut for a family of 4

a man who worked his ass off, lost to a lazy 47 year do nothing politician, who hunkered down in his basement , as party leaders wouldnt allow him out and in essence , got rewarded for that That's not the American way.....
they back doored in that Bitch Harris. Completely unqualified to lead anything. The US will be laughing stock when she takes over.
First one out, of the worst Pres field I ever saw assembled in my long lifetime..She couldnt even compete against that field of characters. She was forced on Biden, no doubt, and we know why...and it wasnt CREDENTIALS, OR QUALIFICATIONS...
Families and friends lost loved ones, including me and some here. It is a presidential election, they happen every 4 years. Someone wins, someone loses. Then we move on. My life will be unaffected no matter who wins, it never has. Side note posted similar on her post and got more “likes” than her...my post was then deleted. We voted, Jo Jorgensen did not win, we will be okay. Until Saturday...if we get blown out by Clemson I might post the same meme or whatever
This applies across the spectrum. There is a lot of emptiness in the lives of people in Western societies.
Know, I hate President Trump on a visceral level. Know, the democratic ticket has been absolutely horrible. Political efficacy and all my vote did not matter in Alabama. I did not vote for either, would not cross the street to spit on any of their graves but would not push any of them out of the way of a bus. Why do the fringe control the majority? It does not make sense to me.
There are sociological developments happening that cannot be changed by policies or institutions. People have increasingly abandoned the institutions and organizations that provide meaning in life. People under a certain age increasingly go from sterile, fleeting, empty relationships in quick succession, growing older and growing unhappier as the consequences of this lifestyle become clear. Politics offers an easily accessible means by which to assert truths and fashion a moral identity.
You're a fool if you think a particular party or politician can mend these sorts of things. Not every problem has a solution. Just accept it and carve out as nice an existence as you can in your small corner of the world. I would also recommend turning off the news more and more. I used to mock people when they said this. Now I see the value in doing this. As people around me grew more and more angry/depressed/anxious over the past couple years, I started to get feedback that I seemed more relaxed than they'd seen me. I think a big part of it was that I gradually stopped paying attention to the nonsense. I still don't really know what the "Steele Dossier" entailed. Jim kept throwing the term, "QAnon" at me, and it wasn't until about three weeks ago that I finally found out, kind of, what it means, from a family member. I couldn't care less. I'll pay attention to the cultural stuff, and I'll pay attention when the Biden Administration and all the foreign policy retreads and ghouls push us towards another war, but most of this stuff simply doesn't interest me anymore. You'll be surprised how quickly you start losing interest, too.
Do not watch the news much, my outside life has me pretty busy. When that is over I want to crack a beer or 30 and unwind with a show. The QaNon stuff is on my radar since my sister has become (probably always been) a crazy person. I feel like she is recruiting me to some ISIS indoctrination camp. That one particular post set me off...I will be back to normal tomorrow. Have a good night MAS

BTW, is it really true, what someone claimed below, that you disinvited some of your fruity friends when you found out that they voted the wrong way?
at a large social gathering (some time ago). In this, when their views and spin were rebuffed they got louder and insisted the group
of us were closed minded and antisocial.
So, we made sure they were right and didn't invite them to any more gatherings.
However, over time they changed their rhetoric and have since behaved like rehabilitated smokers
They have been on the Anti Trump campaign.
More to the point, my softball team and league have several gregarious Trump supporters and they know
not to spill their political points of view during the games. It's hardcore softball or go home. We get along
very well when it's about the game. They do try to recruit but then, no one is buying into their BS.
pitching to your "hardcore softball players".
