Really strange. I don't get this. I don't believe that it is clearing out people who refused to deploy DOD assets to support a contested election (this is a common concern on the left and elsewhere), but no one has offered any explanations..
This is really fucking weird.
Speaking at a news conference at the Pentagon, the defense secretary said that the deployment of active-duty troops in a domestic law enforcement role “should only be used as a matter of last resort and only in the most urgent and dire of situations.”
