Hearing Kenneth Branagh's historical reference to Ulster in 1969 and the expulsion of Catholics from Protestant neighborhoods was eye-opening...my wife and I have visited relatives in Tyrone several times...first, when there were guards with automatic weapons at the border and later when we just 'wizzed' through. During the earlier get-togethers, we talked about the helicopters flying overhead as well as the situation in town, but nothing was said about the 'purge' of 1969...hearing Mr. Branagh recount that his own family never talked about it amongst themselves for 50 years, I can now understand why it didn't come up during our visits...we've watched the movie and are likely to see it again, with even greater appreciation.
As for the segment on Ukraine...my only 'criticism' of Maher is that he didn't get what I consider an obvious reason for Putin not invading while Trump was President...Putin wanted DJT to have a second term, and invading would have forced Trump's hand...vigorously oppose him (Putin)...which is not effective "utilization" of his asset...or, just let Putin have his way...a strong case for not re-electing Trump...all the rest was spot on.

About the people who don’t agree with you. Your “Thank god for Fauci” flag came down and the Ukraine one went up. If only you cared about our country the way you care about the Ukraine.
