Conditions are absolutely brutal for a course with so many water holes...hope the pros are able to learn some things about their games and not let it shake them. The winner is going to be justifiably proud of his accomplishment.
Some guys played round 1 on Thursday AM and will play Round 2 Sunday AM. That's the good side of the draw.
In relative terms, wind impacts these pros much more than guys like me, who are prone to bad swings, bad decisions, and bad mental patches during any give round, regardless of weather.
weather usually (and i say "usually") favors the early tee times. it's definitely not the same course as the day progresses. in fact, if they change the rule to "lift, clean, and place" after the round starts, the guys who finished have to replay their round under the new rule.
otherwise a truly great sport..... :)
