Fortunately help is coming for both problems.

Based on what they are threatening these shall be plentiful.
Boy, was I wrong.
It's the Dem base, academia and the high tech oligarchs who will impose the new authoritariamism.
Actually, NM, of course you don't.
the general police power left to the states in our federal system. If there is an abuse or constitutional violation of that power there is recourse through the courts.
Stick to computer nerd shit little boy.

Also, notice how the Trump response was the opposite of authoritarian.

contrary to the ABA blurb. In fact, I specifically state that a quarantine is usually within the police power reserved to the states, exactly what the article says.
In addition whether the argument wins or loses in court doesn’t make it authoritarian.

More authoritarian than we're used to with Trump?
Your original post asserted that requiring mask wearing is authoritarian policy.
You mentioned nothing about what level that policy was at. I then responded correctly that it was not, but was part of the general police power usually reserved to the states. You then responded that my legal argument was incorrect and attached an ABA blurb that fully agreed with what I had posted.
Is it now your question whether such a policy is authoritarian if imposed at the federal as opposed to the state level? If so, I would still say that it wasn’t authoritarian, although there would be a federalism issue with it as again, usually, that power is reserved to the states. In other words, could it be unconstitutional, and the answer is possibly. That does not though make it authoritarian as it is debatable proposition as things currently stand.

You know that obstinacy thing.
Instead you add zero substance and resort to childish insults.
So, at least I know my area of expertise. This should be an easy topic for you, yet you don't seem up to the task.
It also succinctly explained why you were wrong as usual in your authoritarian statement.

Then again, I normally don’t deal with the level of buffoonery that you and others bring here.

little bitch.
You still have freedom, which extends to the point where it interferes with another’s freedom.
Public health measures are certainly constitutional and hardly authoritarian.
A national mask mandate would be "authoritarian in nature" especially as it compares to Trump's policy to allow the States to make their own policies but rather provide guidance.
