Top o' the league at Christmastime! Glorious!!! Well done Red Men!!!
I am officially on Depression Avenue, with the Blues suffering back-to-back losses.
The drama and anxiety in watching these matches is staggering. Nothing in sports compares.
Stark — have you made a trip to Anfield yet?

They really need to keep Pulisic on the left wing
... thought he was overrated. Perhaps they were correct.
The injury to Ziyech has been noticeable. He generated a bunch of scoring chances.
A riveting choke job decided by weepy penalty kicks in possibly the most effeminate display of skill and emotion ever witnessed.
I also remember Lemieux scoring in 2OT in game 2 to force a final game 3 against the Soviet Union.
Game 3 ended kinda like this:

My girlfriend- now wife and my best friend later best man and his girlfriend now his wife road tripped up to Canada. It was the girls birthdays. Drove up to port angeles and caught the ferry to orcas islands. Spent a few nights there and then off to Vancouver. Ferry was late and traffic was bad so we tucked into the first place we could find. A Hooters on Robson. By the time we arrived we were already down to Milan. I was despondent. At halftime we settled up and moved down the street to find another pub. Two blocks away found a place brimming with Reds. I figured if we're gonna lose be better to lose surrounded by my people. Then. It happened! The complete and total euphoria that gripped us all is beyond my description. It simply had to be lived to be fully understood or appreciated. We stayed a few more nights in Vancouver where the party continued. As I recall it was also during the junior hockey championships too. I think Sidney was playing for the national team at the time. So there was a shit ton of geeked up Canucks. I could be misremembering though. Been up there a few times so I could be mistaken on the times.
Anyway no amount of my rambling will do the week justice! Incredible times...

Yeah I wasn't at that match. Sadly no, I have not attended a match at Anfield. The last time I was "home" in Liverpool it was 1985 with my grandparents. I was only 11. It was the height of the "English disease" and my grandfather feared it was too dangerous. Times have changed now and I'd very much like to go back. I still have loads of family on Merseyside and in Manchester as well. My sister and brother-in-law lived there with their two kids for almost 3 years. Fucking little brats became City supporters!
**sigh** it's a bucket list item for me. Maybe when my kids are a bit older.
