" In an effort to connect with modern black athletes and win the approval of black matriarchal culture, all coaches are being forced to conceal their authentic beliefs. They have to bow at the shrine of Black Lives Matter...Everyone knows it's all bullshit."
Authentically of course.
labeled a racist.
But he's right, black community problems really don't need white community solutions.
Though I can't help knowing, racism is still a major issue, one that complicates all other solutions.
Yes, a stable family is the best solution no matter the skin color at least as a foundation.
.....some big assumptions there. He assumes Stanford’s success is due to the fact that it is not a “football factory” and that more of its players are from a nuclear family’s &thus accepting of black male leadership.
ND’s make up is at least as “nuclear” as Stanford’s, and yet Willingham failed miserably at ND.
He raises an interesting point about the black matriarchy, but it seems to be more about the hiring process to me. The affirmative action approach to interviewing does not allow for simply picking the most qualified person.
The requirement of interviewing black candidates has led to fruit being picked before it has ripened in some cases, and in others it has led to picking the best AA candidate available even when that candidate is undeserving.
Where the matriarchy issue may come in however is earlier on...those that go into coaching know how to lead other men. With no father figure in the majority of AA homes, that skill is likely much harder to come by. Thus, there are less candidates to begin with and it manifests all the way up the chain over time.
His record was inline with previous head coaches there. He also took over after Walsh left the program in pretty good shape.
ND tried to make a splash. Similar to what they did with Faust.
Dumb ass maneuvers. Should have gotten best available...regardless of color.
(Faust was in over his head. Ty actually shirked his responsibilities.)
all races. Those are overwhelmingly your troublemaking or violent kids in schools. It's actually a little speech I give to students every now and then, when I share my observations from outside of education, of the people who can never hold down jobs. The one consistent characteristic they all have is that they cannot bear to be subordinate and obedient to someone in authority. Their mothers typically visit their neuroses and bitterness on their kids, many times seeing their sons as synonymous with their ex-boyfriends who fathered these boys. Fathers overwhelmingly are the parents who set limits and enforce discipline, so these boys are hit with mothers who want to make them feel dependent upon them while also being indulged and allowed to do whatever they want. Little wonder that they react so poorly when they encounter men who try to tell them what to do or criticize them, no matter how delicately.
What we see happening culturally right now is most attributable to what Whitlock terms "the matriarchy." Men have not stepped up and as a result, women are increasingly setting the rules. Unsurprisingly, far from getting a more conciliatory culture where consensus is more easily reached, we get more bickering and divisions, not less.
.......and the main movement in our country to supposedly assist the AA community (BLM) is in favor of eliminating the nuclear family. It is in their charter as a concession to the LGBTQ’ers.
What a disaster.
I delivered the children of single mothers and not too long later the children of those children......the scenario kept snowballing.
I would add to your observation that it really isn’t a matriarchy anymore for the most part. It is a “Grand matriarchy”.
I did not see the mother’s doing the mothering for the most part since they were children themselves (ages 14 to 17 or so). It is now the grandmothers who do the raising of the child with what little they were taught themselves, and often with less energy and vigor than the actual mother.
The AA community in the US desperately needs the family structure of mother, father, siblings reintroduced. In fact, the problem is spreading to all quarters right now. The best way to do this is by following the model laid out to us in Christianity. This will Not sit well with the Left, the AA community is controlled by the Left, and thus the problem is unsolvable to them.
Not sure I’m totally convinced - neither is he, it seems, quite yet - but interesting, for sure. And original.
