She cheats on test results to get her son selected as one of the world's "elite" to qualify for transport to a new world before Armageddon. She and her husband then later rationalize that "She doesn't make mistakes, she makes hard choices".
She commits mutiny and takes over the command center of the ship and announces to all of the other colonists, "This is The Robinson Family" expecting that to make everyone relax now that the competent people have taken charge.
And then she pulls a rabbit out of her ass, and when the captain calls her on her good fortune, she says, "It's not luck, it's math!".
I think that I'll try out some of those lines around here.
It has been a minute since I watched it.
I understand the cheating to get her son in, there is no way you would have your entire family leave your youngest child behind to die if you had that opportunity.
I forget the reasons that she was so mad at her husband, however as I recall he went to serve, and as someone who has deployed, her anger really didn't sit well with me.
The other thing about the series is just how damn lucky the "doctor" gets over and over. Yes, she is a smooth talker, but I felt that things always went JUST the way they needed for her.
Overall I found the series to be entertaining, and I will continue to watch it as new episodes come out.
