I suppose the Republican party deserves to be gutted. Most Republicans in Congress prefer being the minority party because otherwise they get pummeled by the media. It's a whole lot easier to let the Dems have the power and snipe at them from safe distracts over anything that goes wrong. A Dem sweep in Georgia would guarantee Democrat rule for the foreseeable future and cushy living for Republicans in Congress with no responsibility. It makes sense. And they know that given his age Trump is essentially done and will quickly fade into the background. Meanwhile, the global elites who run the Democrat party will have to pass huge virtue signaling spending bills to appease all their bases and to pay off state debts in NY, California and Illinois. This will make Democrats supremely happy as we shall be able to relive the glorious years of the FDR regime.

I applaud you for your optimism.
I suppose that long term I am optimistic. Human nature really doesn't want surrogate mommies taking care of us cradle to grave and canceling us if we speak out of the government line.
The question is, can they be defeated on the soap box and at the ballot box (ha!), or will the cartridge box be necessary. I think the answer is unknown at this point, and I have lost faith in the efficacy of mere free speech and voting. Don't get me wrong, I'm not interested in a fight either way...I'll be watching any fighting on TV, not participating. But, I fear others will have less forbearance than me when they realize that free speech and voting are sometimes not enough to preserve liberty.

In this case I happen to agree that Trump is making things far worse for the party by not graciously bowing out. And this is because he only used the party as a vehicle to maximize his public persona. THAT is all he has ever cared about,
