Too many great talents lost too early. Who are today's acoustic guitar 'savants', or has the spirit of "Wyndham Hill" died?

Though he’s 70 now.
of Wyndham Hill...Alex de Grassi...actually, my wife and I were able to see him not that long ago in person in Mendocino...not far from where he lives...he still performs a bit, but also has a guitar academy for aspiring acoustic musicians.

Stuff can get pretty monotonous - almost Hotel Foyer stuff. Nightnoise claiming to be Celtic/Jazz fusion.
Hedges who did some good stuff with Stephen Stills and Graham Nash music. Lots of harmonics.
Always surprised me they missed out on Enya.
Sad though Wyndham Hill sold out to a bigger company. They had a nice niche in the music world.
always on the lookout for someone who can take it to a newer level.
mostly because I was interested in his take on Suite Judy Blue Eyes.
There are may good to great guitarists, many often posted here on the Open - Fredyo was probably the most knowledgeable here on this subject.
Comes down to what you hear or what grabs your attention.
